Charming home on Montsweag Bay.

This was our third trip to Maine, this time bringing our two sons and their
fiancé and soon to be fiancé. The house was very comfortable, clean and roomy and the location was perfect for a week stay that included trips to Portland, Acadia, Camden, and the Pemaquid Point Light. The house isn’t far from Route 1 which made getting out and back each day usually in the dark, a breeze. We are antiquers and very much enjoyed the Montsweag Flea Market which was just down the road - lots of good stuff to peruse and purchase. The kitchen was wonderful and worked out very well for a few lobster dinners and family breakfasts. We were able to see two Fourth of July displays due to a reschedule of Camden’s. The Portland one was fantastic with the Portland Symphony Orchestra playing along with the fireworks, but the highlight of our trip was getting to see our son propose to his sweetheart on the Schooner Heron at sunset while on the fireworks cruise.
We will be back to the Woolwich house!

My husband, my in-laws, and our 2 chihuahuas spent the week at this property.
The views of the water from the dinning room, kitchen, and porch were very relaxing and what we were looking for. The surrounding homes were well cared for with friendly neighbors. The property is much better than even the pictures depict.
The land lords were very helpful and responsive.
We will definitely be back!

All of our group had a wonderful stay! House is just perfect with all the amenities that you could want. Owners were very nice and attentive and easy to reach during our stay if the need be. Very beautiful area. We rented kyacks (had them delivered) and were able to launch them right from the property. The tidal bay is very calm and a nice area to kyack especially for beginners. There is plenty to do in the area. Booth Bay is a nice town with good restaurants that's not too far away. We travelled to Acadia Nat'l Park and spent the day (about 2 1/2 hrs away). We saw the Portland Sea Dogs (minor league baseball game) which was a great time and the tickets are about $8.00! Portland is about 30 min. away. We went to Reds for lobster roll (fun!).

Just a wonderful house, very clean. Deck area with grill is very handy. We grilled a lot and cooked many of our dinners at the house and found the kitchen to be very roomy and user friendly. Screened in porch was a great place just to hang and have a nice cold one! Yard is wonderful--we played frisbee, threw around the football, etc. My only complaint is that the week went too quick! We liked it so much, we are going back next year...
