We are travelers of the world and get excited every time we pack our bags. When we travel, we like to have as many of the comforts of home as possible. We have traveled by cruise ship in Europe, Asia, Caribbean, etc. We take frequent trips to favorite locations within the Continental US- Charleston, Boston, Napa, San Francisco, Sedona, etc. We no longer travel to Mexico, but hope that the violence stops soon. Our interests include golf, going to the beach, cooking and obviously traveling. We love the convenience of booking a condo or home instead of a hotel. We like to stock up on food we liked to eat, do laundry, bbq, have easy (free) parking etc. We may still go to the nearby resorts for a nice dinner, but it is nice to have relaxed options at our fingertips. We try to use the good ideas we have experienced in our travels and avoid the things we don't like for our guests.
This is the 3rd condo Rich & I have owned in the Waikoloa Beach area! Rich loves the golf courses on the Big Island and I just love the island life.
We have had so many memorable experiences on the Big Island. Whether exploring Hilo to see the active volcano erupting, visiting orchid, coffee or macadamia nut farms/plantations, kayaking Captain Cooks Cove amid spinner dolphins, snorkeling over coral reefs, basking on numerours white or black sand beaches, enjoying the luaus and other Hawaiian cultural events, shopping the local Farmer's market or doing nothing at all.... we love everything the island has to offer.
Across the street you will find the Queens' Marketplace and the King's Shops which both offer dining alternatives and shopping options- Starbucks, restaurants for a casual lunch or dinner, and a gourmet grocery store if you prefer to relax and cook at home for a sunset dinner on the lanai. Nearby A-Bay Beach is the perfect place for sunset gazing, whale watching (seasonal), snorkeling, turtle encounters, easy swimming, and even a quick wedding if you are feeling impulsive. Enjoy unparalleled golf on two championship courses. Relax with a massage at either the Kohala or Mandara spa. Just a short drive away with little to no traffic are helicopter adventures, luxurious spas, boogie boarding, horseback riding, the Hilton’s Dolphin Experience and some great small towns to explore.
