Completely, renovated, this large house is the quintessential southern Rhode Island luxury home vacation. Built in 1855 by irish quaker mill owner and later Civil War hero Isaac Peace Rodman, this historic house, built in the early pastural Italianate style, indeed resembles an Italian country villa with its solid granite walls, cupola, and terrace overlooking multi acre property planted with elms, privet, boxwood and hydrangea, not to mention antique grape vines. Completely renovated.

Close to many southern Rhode Island beaches, the closest is Narragansett Beach at 4 miles. Swim, surf, sail, golf, ride or lounge at the large (16 x 40) private heated gunite pool. Dine out in Newport or Providence (or many other charming villages such as Jamestown, Wickford or Watch Hill). Newport is only 14 miles, a lovely drive over 2 bridges. Providence (Water Fire, museums, restaurants) is only 30 minutes away. Boston is 70 miles and New York City is 160 miles.
