This elegant, charming and romantic retreat (perfect for a honeymoon!) features lovely furnishings, a beautiful view and lush tropical gardens. The main house consists of two buildings that surround the large brick courtyard with spa. One of these buildings, the master bedroom, has a veranda overlooking the courtyard and is furnished with a four-poster mahogany bed, handcrafted on the island. The other building, the 'great house,' contains the dining room (situated in a cozy screened porch), the kitchen and the living room, as well as a covered porch from which the serene view of the Caribbean Sea can be enjoyed at leisure.

    Windwardside can be rented with or without the delightful neighboring guest cottage. This home was designed to offer lots of flexibility when rented along with the neighboring guest cottage. Two couples traveling together can share the living room, dining room and kitchen of the 'great house', yet each will occupy a detached bedroom in one of the quaint West Indian-style buildings. This is perfect way to ensure privacy on a shared vacation.

    For larger groups, the guest cottage can be rented along with the neighboring Windwardside main house. For that option, or to see our other nearby cottage for two -- Sago Cottage, please see our additional listings on the St. John page.

    One couple traveling alone can choose from either the cozy guest cottage or the more spacious surroundings of the main house -- depending on their needs and budget.

Stay at Windwardside!!!
My husband and I stayed there for our honeymoon and we could not have picked a better spot! The views are breath-taking and the cottage/house is just perfect - comfortable, clean, very nicely decorated.
Our rental car was set up for us and we were even taken to the grocery store to get some basic necessities.
I would recommend this place 100% - my husband and I are already planning a trip back!

Windwardside Main House

There can't be a more lovely location than Coral Bay, or a prettier property than Windwardside. If anything, the pictures don't come close to capturing the serenity and comfort we felt staying there (but go ahead and enjoy the photos too!) Our vacation time in this well-furnished villa allowed us to re-charge our batteries and escape the pressures of everyday life. Think open-air showers, never-ending flowers, and gentle tradewinds... If necessary for extra visitors, there is a guest house also available.

The best part about this get away is turning over all the arrangements to the owners.From transport from the airport to the ferry, to car rental (4 WD is essential), to helpful local greeters who answer every question, make restaurant, shopping, and beach recommendations, all we had to do was relax. Just remember to set your watches for "island time" as you pause to take in all the breath-taking views!
