House Highlights: Fantastic house for budget minded family vacations. House is large enough for 2-3 families to share with plenty of private and common areas. House has been completely updated. All new mechanics and paint. Let kids explore fields and woods and cook out every night. Large farmhouse kitchen has been completely updated with all new appliances and new, large center eating island. All cooking utensils/pots/pans/dishes, etc. provided Large. sunny, eat-in area in kitchen seats at least 12. Several farm stands within minutes. Everyone can go in different directions each day (check area attractions) and meet back at the house each night. Or just stay in the area and swim in the local swimming hole just up the road. There is plenty to do in the immediate vicinity of the house but the area is not crowded and is not overridden with tourists or tourist traps. Nearby Fall activities incluude Corn Maze, Pumpkin Picking, Petting Zoo (5 min.), Haunted House (10 min), Apple Picking (20 min)
Area Highlights: Area is perfect for family vacations and reunions. Less than a mile to swimming or fishing in Catskill Creek (swimming hole). Horseback riding about 1 mile from house. Ski Windham- 12 miles away. Go-carts, mini golf, batting cages- about 3 miles away in East Durham. Several 18 hole golf couses within minutes of the house. Windham Mountain Skiing and Tubing just 12 miles away. Paintball, Rock Climbing, Skateboard park at Windham Mountain Adventure Park all summer long. Howes Caverns and Iroquois Museum tourist area about 25 minutes away. Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame about 2 hours away, perfect for a day trip. Several antique shops just down the road in Oak Hill or drive into Catskill (20 minutes) or Hudson (30 minutes) for much wider variety of antiques and eclectic shopping. Numerous varied restaurants (diner, pizza, Italian, American, etc) within minutes of the house. Two Drive-In Movie Theatres within 20 minutes
Our Goal: We are looking to establish several repeat families or groups to regularly stay at our house and enjoy the many amenities of the area. It is perfect for large groups or multi-family vacations. You will be amazed at the amount of activities all within a SHORT drive of the house - Golf, swimming, skiing, fishing, horseback riding, museums, antique shops, auctions, dining, hiking, shopping, miniature golf, batting cages, go-carts. Or just relax under a shady tree and read a book All this within two hours of NYC. Please call for an information packet to be sent.
