House, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

A 10 mile stretch of pristine California coastline defines The Sea Ranch. It is a world renowned coastal community with a reputation for award winning architecture and environmentally sound planning. Within the 10 mile limits of The Sea Ranch lie 3 recreation centers with sauna, tennis courts and swimming--all hidden from public view. There is also a very challenging 18 hole golf course. There are also miles and miles of bluff top meadow and redwood trails for hiking and biking. If you cross the road to the east side you will find ancient redwoods and the Gualala river where Jack London used to fish. All the amenities are available to the renter.

The Sea Ranch Lighthouse is a cozy, warm 2 bedroom/2 bath house that can easily sleep four(4),and by using the loft and its twin size trundle bed, it will accommodate six(6).The trundle bed is made up for a single but by pulling out the trundle it will make up to two twins or a double. Both bathrooms have recently been remodeled as well as the kitchen which has all new appliances and is fully equipped to delight the casual or gourmet cook. And when you are done eating, just pop the dishes into the new dishwasher and crank up the blender for some margaritas.

Located on the ocean side of California Hwy 1, the house is an easy five(5) minute walk to the ocean, the children's playground or one of the finest tide-pool areas of the Ranch. You can watch for whales while standing at the large living room window as you get toasty in front of the fireplace or, if you prefer, while you are sitting in the hot tub on the deck. Either way, you will be looking out at a beautiful blue ocean or you could be watching the deer, wild turkeys or rabbits running across the meadow. At night you will see a starry heaven that will take your breath away.

If you rather stay indoors there is a nice window seat that is perfect for that afternoon nap while you listen to music from the DVD player, the I-Pod docking station or the satellite dish. A flat panel HDTV and WI-FI INTERNET rounds out the entertainment options.

The house comes with passes to all the amenities; some interesting reading material about the whaling ships that used to travel from the Northern Coast to San Francisco and a variety of books on the flora and fauna of the Pacific Coast and binoculars.

The Sea Ranch Lighthouse is a cozy, well-appointed home, located in just the right spot. Meadow and ocean views great you as you walk into the main living space, and a path to the bluff trail is just off the back porch. (Bluff trail = quintessential coastline views!)

The house has everything you could possibly want on a vacation, and is kept very clean.

What made the experience even more enjoyable was how easy and pleasant it was to arrange the reservation with owners Judy and Gordon. They are truly a delight!

The Lighthouse is now our go-to spot at Sea Ranch!

The ONLY place to be!

Four of us rented this home for a long weekend and it was simply perfect. Having rented many homes in the past at Sea Ranch, this was certainly the best - and perfect for 4 people. If you want a house for 8 people look else where but for 2 couples or 1 couple this was ideal. Warm and cozy and everything you need, including an attentive owner who was there if we needed him. Cozy often means small or tiny, but this house is the perfect size for 4 people, couches, dining area, loft, patio and more. It is not small, but it is warm and inviting. Views, some deer, comfortable beds, TV, hot tub, etc. Didn't need anything more except a couple of abalone in the fridge and a bottle of cold Chardonnay. this the house to rent. Period!

Perfect Getaway

This was the perfect weekend getaway. The house had everything we needed and more. The short walking distance to the beach was perfect for hanging on the beach during the day and watching the sunset at night. BBQing at night and enjoying the private hot tub was a perfect way to end the day. Would recommend staying here to anyone! Can't wait to go back!

A lovely home...

My 22 yo nephew and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable home. It is light, clean, and well-appointed. It is peaceful and centrally located to beaches and hiking trails. We enjoyed the deer and foxes right outside the window and the hot tub under the stars. I am glad I am returning next month!
