Ogunquit Vacation Rental cottage

We have rented Steve and June's wonderful cottage in Ogunquit on several occasions, and hope they continue making it available for years to come. The cottage itself is a gem, and in immaculate condition. The location is
spectacular, with views of Perkins Cove, the Marginal Way, and the ocean. It is within EASY walking distance of the Cove, the Marginal Way, restaurants, art galleries, the downtown shopping area and beaches. Trolleys run out of the Cove if walking to town is a chore, or if packages from shopping make a walk difficult! The cottage is also less than a five minute walk to the exquisite Ogunquit Museum of American Art on Shore Road.

We park our car right at the cottage for the length of our stay and use it only to drive to shows at the Ogunquit Playhouse, although that, too, could be walked. Anyone who has visited Ogunquit in the summer knows the value of convenient parking.

There is much to do just in Perkins Cove itself, including sailboat cruises, whale watching, fishing trips, and coastal tours. We have taken the sailboat and coastal tours and recommend them highly. We have yet to find a restaurant
in the Cove that we have not enjoyed. They range from the very casual Lobster Shack to more full scale seafood restaurants like the Oarweed and Barnacle Billy's, to upscale dining at MC's.

Many of the art galleries in Ogunquit and Perkins Cove are worth a visit. We particularly like the work of Beth Ellis, whose gallery is in the Cove.

The very best, however, is simply walking the Marginal Way, which we do at sunrise and at least twice a day.

Steve and June have done an excellent job of decorating the cottage, and of providing an outdoor patio complete with barbeque grill. We enjoy sitting on the patio with morning coffee or an evening glass of wine, and taking
in the view.

Steve and June are superb hosts, who make sure that a stay in their cottage is relaxing and pleasant. We just love it here, and have recommended it to our family members and friends.
