This magical and enchanting rural escape features a charming living / dining area, kitchen, bathroom, master bedroom, attic / loft sleeping area. Private deck and parking for 2 cars. The Cottage at Muir Beach is located in the heart of Marin County’s stunning Golden Gate National Recreation Area providing fabulous opportunities for outdoor pursuits. The Cottage at Muir Beach is enveloped by the constant therapeutic sound of the ocean and is the kind of heaven on earth that soothes the soul. Although it is within easy reach of everything, it feels like a world apart. Owned, operated and decorated by renowned British interior designer Victoria Hamilton-Rivers.

Spent a relaxing anniversary weekend at the cozy Cottage at Muir Beach. We soaked in the beauty of the views, enjoyed dining in, relaxing on the deck. The Cottage at Muir Beach is better than advertised - the description and pictures don't do it justice. Victoria is a hospitable and gracious host - we will return as often as we can.

Photographs are fully representative of the location and property. Fulfilled all expectations and therefore highly recommended. A perfect 'getaway' but still within striking distance of the city. Comfortable and well appointed. The property owner is friendly, responsive and helpful. There is no dishwasher or TV connection which may be an issue for some if staying longer than a few days or those with children.

We absolutely loved this cottage. Our family of 4 (kids 14 and 11) had a great time in the area (especially including the tide pools at Little Beach, just a short walk down the hill), and then returning to the cottage for relaxing evenings sitting on the deck. Our daughter refused to leave long after time to go! Victoria was extremely helpful in every way. Highly recommended.

A beautiful place to be! The cottage is gorgeous, the local views are amazing and the beach and hiking trails so easy to access and truly wonderful. Did not want to leave and will surely be back.

So near, yet so far away! What an incredible place you have. Truly amazing. We loved being able to walk to the Pelican Inn, the beach, and miles and miles of trails! We so appreciated your hospitality helping to plan my husbands birthday surprises - you really went the extra mile for us. Having "the in cottage" access to such a great wine selection was a real treat and the horseback ride up the fire trails overlooking the ocean was an experience of a lifetime - INCREDIBLE!!!
