Wonderful retreat

Six ladies from TX just returned from a visit to Vermont for Fall Foliage. Our stay in this home was delightful from beginning to end.The house was exceptionally well stocked. It feels like a home, not just a house. The views from the deck are incredible. There was plenty of room for each of us to spread out, get dressed for adventures each day, and relax at a variety of activities in the evenings. The owners were most helpful with suggestions of things to see and do, restaurant recommendations, etc. Besides the places they suggested, we would recommend Sugar-N-Spice in Menden for breakfast, Mountain Creamery in Woodstock for lunch and ice cream, and Jeff's Marine Seafood in St. Albans if you head north. We also loved the drives down Rt. 100, Tom's Antiques and Antique Pew in Pitsford, and Hero's Welcome on Lake Champlain.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers

Excellent communication between the owner and ourselves--professional and personal at the same time. We needed an escape from the real world for the week, and this was everything we needed and more. Beautiful home, anything and everything you would need is at your finger tips. A map of the local trails showed that there were more trails to hike than we could possibly do in the week, especially when other great things to do were only a short drive away. The views were breathtaking. We were able to just unwind and take time to recharge again for our demanding lives. We hope to have the opportunity to escape here again in the future!

We enjoyed the view of colors and scenery from the deck of this lovely home! No need to go anywhere...well euipped and relaxing. As well there is a trail, well cleared, circling the property and more trails for the adventuresome leading up to Killington.

Make sure to visit the town of Woodstock, lovely & quaint.
