Que Rico

My wife, five-year-old, and I stayed here for a perfect week. From my first e-mail to my last, the experience was tops. The proprietor is kind, helpful, and extremely accommodating. She gave us generous advice and the bathrooms, kitchen, laundry, and even bookshelves were amply furnished.
The space provides a lot of privacy and is tremendous with three floors and 1.5 baths. There is even a balcony on the top floor, nestled between the neighboring buildings. Cats will visit.
The street itself is an ideal, central and safe place to take in Old San Juan. Quaintly, there is a nearby square with the work of a famous PR sculptress, and dozens of visiting street cats. They are fed and cared for locally, mostly by Save a Gato, a volunteer organization that looks after the island's copious cat population. And the rest of Old San Juan is walking distance. Parking, for rain forest and beach day trips by car, is tricky and costly, but some street space can be found by the adventurous. Streets are narrow, cobblestone, and thrilling.
When we arrived in the apartment, my son said to me, "Puerto Rico is like perfect." And our visit was!
