The house had a spectacular view. My problem was that the house is a party house( which is what the cleaning lady's kid told my husband) Let me start from the beginning. First, we were to check in at 3pm the cleaning lady didn't finish until 4:20pm. She had her entire family with her. When we got in the ice maker didn't work , outdoor lounge chair broken, gas grill almost empty,one sliding glass door the lock was loose on and it was hard to get locked,one dishwasher didn't work, there were blinds broken, pool table had broken sides,lights that had no bulbs in, blender that was broken, which I didn't find out until I had it filled to the top and everything fell out all over the table. I also had poor owner response, I called to let him know about these things as soon as we noticed them and he never returned my call, still to this moment.. However, with all this we had a great time, the location is spectacular, easy to get anywhere you need. We truly enjoyed our trip we just had to look past somethings at the house. The house is very large with plenty of space. Overall price wise it was probably not worth the price. If it were a cheaper price I could see using it again but only if it is fixed up. I am a RN and was there for a family get away with relatives from out of town, not to party and get crazy......
Owner's Response: The owner was in the Florida Key's when this guest was there and she left a voice mail that he did not get until around Wednesday. We were unaware that the blender, pool table or grill gas was empty and that there were burned out lightbulbs. The reason the cleaner had her whole family there was because there is so much work to do after 8 or 10 people leave that I asked her to bring extra help to try to get it done on time. The only thing that was not done by 3pm was the towels that were in the dryer. She told them that she would wait outside until they were dry to fold them. Guest said that was no problem that they had to go shopping anyway. As this is an older home, we not claim that all the furniture is new or that the house is perfect. It is in the same condition it has been for every other satisfied renter. We do try to be accommodating to our guests and were very sorry to hear that this guest felt like the accommadations were less than perfect. Every other guest has enjoyed their stay with us and thought it was a perfect house for large families. Thank you for your feedback.
