Tuscany is renowned for its breathtaking views and L’Oliveto is a fine example. Olive groves and vineyards fill a small valley below the house while on the opposite ridge is a picturesque village with a noble castello surrounded by sinuous cypress trees. An unfussy retreat for families or 2-3 couples, L’Oliveto has a open-plan living and dining room with large glass doors giving onto outdoor terraces. The upper floor has a comfortable family room and generous bedrooms. Outside, the garden offers options for sitting and dining, and the pool has wide views across the open countryside. A short garden path leads to tufa-stone cliffs where ancient tunnels provide a labyrinthine wine cellar.
