Listen to the babbling brook and waterfall just steps away from this cheerful little cabin in the woods. Relax on the porch, or enjoy the hot tub while planning a day of adventure in the village of Black Mountain or downtown Asheville. The nightly rental fee is $150.00, taxes 10%, Housekeeping $75.00. We offer a 3-night Weekend Special, taxes and cleaning included, for $450.00. Pet fee for up to two (2) pets is $75.00 per rental. Reduced rates are quoted for guests staying 7-14 days. We can accommodate up to 4 guests.

Nestled in a corner of 15 wooded acres that may be hiked, Falling Waters has a peaceful, back to nature appeal. The cabin is perfect for honeymooners, couples, or small families who want to enjoy a little solitude and comfort in a private mountain setting, but not too far from restaurants and the nightlife of downtown Asheville. Two bedrooms and one bath, modern eat-in Kitchen. A cozy firebox lends ambiance and warmth to the living room with cable TV and free internet access. The driveway is gravel, level, and accessible by any vehicle. Pet Friendly!

Answers to Frequent Questions: The cabin is screened from the nearest neighbor and roadway by trees and hilly terrain. The driveway is gravel and level, so a regular car may be driven right up to the cabin. Level Kitchen door entry. The front porch (3 steps) is gated. The property is comprised of fifteen acres of woods, with a trail to the top of the mountain for exercising your pet and enjoying a different view of the surroundings.

Shopping and Restaurants: The nearest grocery store is Ingles Market on Route 70, 4 miles from the cabin. They have a full service pharmacy, movie rentals, extended shopping hours, self-checkout, and accept major credit cards. Black Mountain (10 miles) has many wonderful restaurants; we can personally recommend the Black Mountain Bistro, My Father's Pizza, Veranda Cafe and Las Quezelas (authentic Mexican). For those who like atmosphere with their coffee, visit the Dripolator Coffeehouse on State Street.

About Bob and Lorna

My father came to the mountains over 30 years ago from Florida and loved living here. He told us that 'the people are wonderful and the atmosphere is terrific'. The Cabin and the surrounding acreage is family owned; we built our own vacation home (Asheville Lookout Chalet) above the cabin and enjoy our visits.

Bob and Lorna purchased this cabin in 1990
Why Bob and Lorna chose Black Mountain

The cabin was purchased to accommodate family and other out of town visitors and it's renovation was one of my father's many projects. We now rent it through Homeaway and VRBO so that others can enjoy Swannanoa, Black Mountain and Asheville as much as he did.

What makes this cabin unique

Built in 1932, renovated in 1992 and completely refurbished in 2010 for the continuing enjoyment of our guests, the Cabin is a perfect place for a weekend getaway. The waterfall can be viewed from the deck (or hot tub), and the general tone of the property is quiet, relaxing comfort.

A four-wheel drive vehicle is not needed to reach Brett's Falling Waters Cabin. Full service grocery shopping, ATM, Banking, Gas Stations within 4 miles. Falling Waters Cabin is just 3 miles from Warren Wilson College and minutes away from the Village of Black Mountain, Montreat College, and UNC Asheville. Go driving and hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway, entry at Milepost 382; Visit the Biltmore Estate, take a Trolley Tour of downtown Asheville, wander the shops of Black Mountain.

  • 3 night Weekend Rental is $450.00 total with taxes and housekeeping included. This is a savings of $120.00. Arrive as early as Noon on Friday and stay until Noon on Monday! Have Friday off from work but have to be back on Monday? Come stay with us Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon!
  • Visa, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal accepted. A $200.00 Booking deposit is required, and will be applied toward rent when paid by credit card. The balance of the rental fee is due 30 days prior to arrival. Pet fees for up to 2 pets are $75.00 per rental.

We just spent 4 wonderful days at this comfy cabin. The kitchen was well stocked and despite the freezing temps outside it was warm and cozy inside. My 14 year old daughter saw snow for the first time and the memory of watching her outside by the waterfall in the snow was priceless!

My husband, daughter and myself spent 4 days at the cabin and had a fantastic time. The kitchen was well stocked, and though it was freezing and snowy out the cabin was nice and toasty. We enjoyed a nice hike up the Mtn. just behind the house and loved the waterfall on the property.

The cabin was everything we'd hoped it would be and more. We were close to golf courses but secluded enough to feel away from it all. Our stay was very comfortable.
