Sunny new garage apartment overlooking sparkling Biscay Pond in Damariscotta, Maine. Quiet and serene only 50' from waters edge. All modern conveniences, one bedroom apartment , immaculate! Great for two people, or small family. Listen to the call of the 'Loons.' Relax, swim, fish and enjoy the tranquility of Maine. Enjoy your meals on the large screened porch fully furnished, with a large porch swing, must experience toasting the sunset listening to the Loons!! We are about 6 miles to one of Maines quaint village's, Damariscotta, home to many great restaurants and unusual shops. Only 10 miles to the famous Pemaquid Point Light House on the rock bound coast of Maine. This is a must experience adventure!

Notes: This adorable above garage cottage is located on the owners property. Owners have a friendly golden retriever and their young Grandchildren visit occasionally. Beautiful views and direct access to Biscay Pond. Fax machine is available at the owners home.

We found the "Charming Biscay Pond Retreat" all that it was stated to be and more. We were fortunate to have found this place to rent for our 17 days in Maine. The owners were wonderful but gave us our space. The apartment was a great space for 2 but would have been fine for a family of 4. The location was peaceful and quiet but close to many tourist attractions. I would wake up in the morning and look at the lake without getting out of bed. What a way to wake up. I already miss being there.

If you are a lighthouse person both Marshal Point and Pemiquid are within an hours drive. The town of Damariscotta is a 10 minute drive and has wonderful restaurants. We loved "The Breakfast Place," a great rustic breakfast restaurant. The food was awesome and the waitresses were friendly and made you feel right at home. The Breakfast Place also makes home made bread and biscuits upstairs in the bakery. The "Damariscotta River Grill" does a lobster risoto that is out of this world. The town has many shops to browse after a great breakfast or lunch. Damariscotta also has a wonderful bookstore and coffee shop. I was amazed at all the attractions and restaurants that were within a 20 minute drive of the cottage.

I would highly recommend the cottage. We felt comfortable, at home, and welcomed by the owners.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
