This is a classic beach house built in the 1900's but kept in remarkable condition. It is charming and original for its exposed mahogany walls downstairs and spacious living room, kitchen and dining area. The bedrooms are sizable and have great closets and comfortable mattresses. The house is fully equipped with washer, dryer, dishwasher, TV's (with DVD's and cable), internet and comfortable furnishings. After a long day at the nearby sandy, ocean beach (just one minute walk from the house) the wrap around porch and deck is perfect for relaxing on while the sun sets. There is a full yard as well and BBQ with table and chairs for dining outdoors as well. The house is situated in a residential area away from the noisy center of town, but close enough to enjoy the local sites of downtown Portland and old Orchard Beach, Saco and Ferry beaches, and shopping in Freeport or Kittery.

There are water activities, hiking, golfing, biking, water parks, museums and wonderful restaurants in the surrounding areas. There is something for everyone here!

We were not disappointed in our week stay at this house. It was very spacious and CLEAN!!!! Quick walk to the beach and not far from downtown area. Two families shared this house - it was a success! Very happy with the accomodations!
