Cute beach cottage with front porch and white picket fence enclosed yard. An updated 'kit-house' from the early 1900s, originally a playhouse from the Vanderbilt Estate. Walking distance to First beach, Second Beach, restaurants and Newport attractions.
Check out our other Properties: #203212 - 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and #3493322 - all on the same property - perfect for a reunion or wedding accommodations!
If you are looking for a cute place within walking distance to the beach and restaurants this is the place for you! We went with our 20 year old daughter and our Bishon and loved it. It is small so if you have little ones it might be too small for you. There is a small fenced in yard. Parking is a bit challenging if you have visitors but we shuttled them in from a school not to far away. My daughter had friends visit and stay and the futon was perfect for them. It is fully equipped with kitchen utensils, pots and pans. There is no iron or ironing board so we brought our own. Aimee is so accommodating. She stopped by to make sure everything was perfect for us. The house is VERY close to others and depending on who rents the other houses it can be noisy. All in all I would stay again!
Cozy and comfortable (we were 2 persons with small dog) cottage within 1-2 blocks of 1st beach and Middletown restaurants/pubs, about 2 miles from downtown Newport. Very clean and owner very accomodating to work with. Small fenced in yard was perfect space for our dog and we enjoyed the front porch. Kitchen and bath was well equipped but closets/storage for clothes very limited. Bedroom separated from living room by curtain (no door). We will definately consider returning again.
We were the first renters after the renovation. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities, and the great use of space! It was neat and clean, and only a few blocks from 1st beach.
The place is great for a couple or small family. We ended up having a couple stay on the futon and they were fine with it.
Aimee was great to work with. Very nice. We would definitely go back. The only reason why we didn't this year is that we wanted a larger space for more company and the unit was not available during the week we wanted. Otherwise, we would have reserved it!
Perhaps the most attractive characteristic of Newport is the ability that the destination has to appeal to a variety of traveling styles. Newport is home to miles of scenic coastline ideal for exhilarating sailing excursions, relaxing beach time, and rejuvenating walks.
For those whose heart lies in architecture, design, and history Newport offers tours of opulent mansions, interesting museums, and a number of walking tours that reveal the history and charm of the city. For a mouth-watering getaway, visitors can enjoy a tour and tasting at the three local vineyards followed by a memorable dining experience at a waterfront restaurant.
For visitors looking to take a bit of Newport style home with them, the city’s quaint wharves and cobblestone streets are a mix of unique shops and galleries. Complementing it all is a year-round calendar of special events ranging from nautical events to music festivals to professional sports tournaments.
