Wake up with the Caribbean sun warming your face and a view of the ocean from both bedrooms. The Tempus Pearl is a two story retreat nestled in the rainforest atop a mountainside in the Samasati Nature Retreat. The home includes two beautiful custom built bathrooms and kitchen. Eat at home or enjoy many wonderful restaurants in town. A short 10 minute trip will bring you to a variety of beaches. Enjoy yoga, birdwatching, and hiking on 250 acres of magical primary rainforest property. The area is also a host to activities such as canopy tours, horseback riding, waterfall trekking, surfing and kayaking. Come to stay for a serene wellness getaway or an eco adventure. My husband and I stayed in this property just after the New Year, looking for a retreat from our every day lives and found just that! The home is clean, well equipped and very private. The owners and housekeeper were accommodating and responsive, as was the staff at the Samasati resort...great customer service!

Make sure to have a 4x4 car to scale the mountain!

Great get away

We spent a wonderful week at the Tempest Pearl in April of 2009. All that is said about it is true, We loved the magnificent view of the banana plantation in the valley below and especially the ocean view from both of the porches. Seeing the small white face monkeys, sloths and other wildlife was a real thrill. Of course hearing the howler monkeys was an extra. We are bird watchers, so seeing the Toucans, Parrots and all the other exotic birds was a thrill.
We did the zip line and visited several other places it was a delightful place and trip. We are planning another excursion to the wonderful house called the Tempest Pearl hopefully in fall 2010
The house was clean, peaceful and serene. It felt so much like home we wanted to stay. It had everything we needed to make us comfortable.
We would highly recommend vacationing there.

What a beautiful treasure!

We stayed in this beautiful retreat over the New Year holiday and I can't express enough how lovely and enjoyable our stay was. This mountain home is clean, peaceful, well-appointed, and private. Everything we needed was there to make us feel welcome and comfortable. And the view of the ocean and surrounding jungle from the large porch in the morning is absolutely stunning. We woke to the call of toucans every morning, and by the end of our stay, we didn't want to leave. I highly recommend this very affordable, beautiful home!

Spectacular, Restoring and Exotic!

Everything was beyond our imagination! Monkeys, sloths and toucans directly off the balcony! To hear the howler monkeys early in the morning made a fabulous start to the day. The home was gorgeous and clean. The housekeeper did a beautiful job accomodating us. We will be back! A true gem in the jungle!!!!!!
