Banner Elk Vacation Rental condo

I was able to spend several weeks at the Green Beetle Retreat and loved every minute. It is situated in a great location less than 5 minutes to all Banner Elk has to offer. The condo is stocked with absolutley everything you would ever need and offers many high end luxurious items. I have been visiting Banner Elk on a regular basis for several years and this has been the best spot I have ever stayed. The only problem was the bamboo sheets make it awfully hard to get out of bed in the mornings!!! Highly recommended and look forward to staying again.

My wife, family and I, enjoyed the Green Beetle Retreat for a long ski weekend. We really enjoyed this upscale villa property, and the convenience to Banner Elk, Boone, and the numerous ski areas. The condo was immaculate, very new and modern, comfortable, and well provisioned (the kitchen was very well stocked with cookware, plates/bowl, flatware, etc.). It was very reasonably priced. The proximity to Banner Elk, Grandfather Mountain, and the local eateries and shopping made it a hugely convenient place to stay. We look forward to returning, perhaps in the summer months to enjoy some of the hiking and biking the area is well known for. I would highly recommend The Green Beetle Retreat to anyone looking for a grand high country experience.

The Green Beetle is our favorite place to stay in the mountains! My husband and I have stayed here 4 times so far, in 3 different seasons - each stay was lovely. Pictures shown here are completely accurate, but do not do this place justice - it is very cozy and welcoming. The moment I walk through the door, I can feel thr stress melting away! The Green Beetle is beautiful - painted in warm colors, furnished with comfortable seating, and featuring fun folk art. The condo is well-appointed with soft, comfortable linens and a great gourmet kitchen for the cook in the family! Kitchen includes everything you need (or want!) to whip up a great meal, and the dining room is well-sized and condusive to an evening of relaxation with family or friends. If you are not up for cooking on vacation, a variety of nice restaurants are just a few blocks away in the town of Banner Elk. Other places nearby that we have enjoyed include the Blue Ridge Parkway (great views and day hiking from Grandfather Mountain or the Moses Cone Manor), the original Mast General Store, and the Banner Elk winery. The Green Beetle is very clean (and green! - great to find a place that does not clean with a bunch of harsh chemicals). The owners are very friendly and a joy to work with. I would highly recommend this spot to any friend - my only concern is that others will enjoy this place so much that we will have to compete for our favorite weekends!
