Come enjoy our beautiful home—quiet and away from all the bustle but within easy driving distance of Los Angeles’ terrific and varied attractions. This all in one level home will allow you all the benefits of your own place--privacy, comfort, amenities, and peaceful surroundings—-while still providing an ideal location to explore Los Angeles’ attractions and beyond. We've just built a beautiful new SALINE infinity pool to help you better enjoy the view of the Chatsworth Hills.
BEDROOMS:
The home’s four bedrooms can comfortably accommodate up to eight adults. If you don't need that much space, you can rent the house with just three bedrooms for a less. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room which can accommodate two more. The master bedroom with King size bed looks out on the front yard with its peaceful mature olive and fruit trees. The color of the master bedroom’s wall colors echo the sand stone mountains that are the treasure of this home. The three other bedrooms, featuring a queen, double, and two twin beds, respectively, view the pool, side yard, and the mountains beyond. All rooms have spacious closets as well as storage for clothing so you can settle in and relax. An air mattress provides additional sleeping.
The home's upgrades include double paned windows for quiet and comfort.
LIVING AREAS:
Enjoy large open rooms for entertaining or relaxing after a day’s sightseeing. The living room features a upright piano and a stunning view of the quiet hills from which rockets were testing during the Cold War. The sectional leather sofa contains a queen size sleeper bed to accommodate two more adults guests. The dining room features ample formal seating and a perfect view of the sunsets at the end of the day. There is a room for enjoying a flat screen television with basic cable and video/DVD library..
The updated kitchen contains all the modern features required for dinner “in”. Granite counter tops complement rich wood cabinets with all the necessary dishes. Its fully outfitted for cooking the most simple to the most complex dinner. Appliances include a dishwasher, refrigerator, and ice maker. (In the attached two car garage, you can make use of a new washer and dryer for laundry.)
Program the coffee maker to have your morning cup waiting for you when you wake up.
Oh, and bathrooms? We just completely renovated both bathrooms. We've upgraded with luxury fixtures, dual flush toilets, granite countertops, and stone tiling throughout. Light, spotlessly clean, and well lit, you'll enjoy the brand new bathrooms.
OUTDOOR AREAS:
This house is all about outdoor living. The brand new infinity pool uses saline to keep the water soft, clear and free of that chlorine smell. Using the latest "one touch" technology you can heat the jacuzzi for a soak and enjoy a view of the pool and mountains beyond. After a swim, have dinner or drinks at the teak outdoor dining table overlooking the mountains where early Hollywood filmmakers created cowboy adventures and “The Lone Ranger” television series. The grassy side yard is perfect for a game of croquet or Bocci ball. Outdoor seating areas abound and your privacy is shaded by a wall of bamboo.
The front yard is a chorus of roses. Other garden features include unique "birds of paradise" and bearded irises in season. Citrus tress include an lemon, orange and grapefruit tress like those that covered the neighboring valley in years gone by. The neighborhood hosts several varieties of birds and late at night you might hear the coyotes in the distance.
The front yard lends itself to a child’s game of “hide and seek.” Located on a quiet cul de sac at the top of a hill, the neighborhood is child welcoming yet a peaceful retreat for adults.
LOCATION AND NEARBY ATTRACTIONS:
Nearby the house, there is something for everyone, young and old. Enjoy the best of both worlds—accessibility to all of Los Angeles’ more urban attractions yet a tranquil home with a feeling of "getting away from it all." The home provides easy accessibility to all Los Angeles' attractions from the studios, West Side entertaining and shopping, and beaches, as well as major theme parks--Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farms, just to name a few.
For the outdoor enthusiasts, you will find excellent walking, hiking, and serious rock climbing within minutes. Additionally, golf, tennis, horseback riding can be found nearby.
For the serious shopper, nearby Northridge, Topanga, and Promenade Malls provide a treat or venture further to enjoy the shopping of Rodeo Drive, Sunset Boulevard, Santa Monica, and Los Angeles' other shopping districts.
For the politically curious, perhaps a trip to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library may be what you’re looking for, an easy twenty minute drive through beautiful Southern California terrain.
Accessibility to Burbank airport and the Burbank studios is only twenty minutes away while Downtown Los Angeles is easily reached by car or train (the Chatsworth train station is minutes away).
