GLASS HOUSE ON THE SEA

We had an amazing Anniversary vacation at The Glass House on the Sea on Sapphire Beach! The condo was simply beautiful and tasteful, and had everything we needed. The pictures do not do the view or the condo justice. It is spectacular! It is just as described, only more elegant. It was immaculate. Truly. It has a clean, understated beauty and looks like a very high-end hotel suite, only better... because it's more personal. (I've traveled a good bit, and trust me... this is true). Every morning we would have our coffee/breakfast out on the balcony overlooking the beach, the crystal ocean, the very-blue sky, palm trees and St Johns. This unit is in a great location --far eastern end of the island -- right on the beach but on the quiet, private end. The marina is just to the right and presents a lovely view from this corner unit, a glass-enclosed hideaway, complementing the superb ocean view! The condo is also in a great location for exploring the island; we had fun with our rental car and our own schedule.

We rarely used the air conditioner as there are beautiful sea breezes that cool the unit. We fell asleep every night to the sound of the waves and the smell of the ocean, and the softest breeze! I never wanted it to end.

We ate at some great restaurants on St. Thomas (Mafolie's was our favorite-- what a view!), visited many places all over the island, took a perfect (full moon!) dinner cruise, shopped and relaxed. We have well over two hundred pictures! It was pure heaven. I will go back there, and undoubtedly stay at the same place. It’s just a matter of time.

Robert, the owner, was wonderful to deal with and easily accessible in case we needed him. There is also a representative who lives on St. Thomas that was very helpful when we had any questions. I have already recommended this property to many friends and relatives.

Just spent a week at the Glass House. The location on St Thomas is excellent to be able to explore the great beaches on the island. The unit was very nice, just as described and perfect for a couple. The porch was the perfect size with a GREAT view for breakfast, lunch or even an easy meal and then a glass of wine after dinner. The only problem was that the tennis courts were out of order, and appeared to have not been functional for a long time, but the snorkeling at Sapphire Beach was just amazing: we saw turtles, eels, octopus and literally hundreds of fish. Also has very good access to the car barge to get to St John, and the food at Island Time Pub drew us back several times, miss the meatball sandwich.

This condo is lovely and perfect. The accommodations are exactly as described and the view is even move lovely than noted. It is clean, attractive and comfortable. We stayed at the condo from 2/12/12 for a week. Robert, the owner was great to deal with, as was his manager Sam. We loved watching the boats go out every morning and come in every evening. Being one flight up, off the beach made the view that much nicer. I would recommend this unit to anyone.
