My sister and I are the owners of this apartment. My name is Michela and my sister is called Francesca. We speak both good english we are friendly ad try always to be helpful. I am a veterinary and my sister is a lawyer. We both like travelling.
We were born in Rome and love our beautiful city where we live. We love travelling abroad and we are happy to meet travelers in Rome and give them a nice experience in our apartment.
The apartment is located in a building with big trees and plants. It is very safe and very silent. All windows are located in front of the private building garden. There is a terrace on top of the building that may be used from all the building owners (almost all days of the week). It is a good place to relax and take some sun.
I recommend David to all property owners. He has treated my apartment as it was it's own. Left it clean and tidy.Has been on time for the check in and check out time. I hope to have you and your wife again as my guests, it was a pleasure to meet you, thank you Michela.
The location was perfect!! You are less than a mile from the Vatican and if your feeling very adventurous like us you can walk on over to the Colosseum! I never got a chance to meet Michela but her parents gave us the keys to the place and were very sweet! There is also a laundry mat down the street that does your laundry for 8 euro and your only a few blocks from all the great little cafes and shops. We really enjoyed our stay and walked everywhere without taking a taxi! only thing we had a little issue with was the noise, the bedroom is above the entrance so you can hear people slamming the doors. Thanks for having us!
Our family (2 adults and 2 girls under age 11) spent a week at this apartment and it was delightful. The place isn't large -- our two girls slept on the pull-out sofa which was very comfortable, and the kitchen and bathroom are a bit small compared to the States -- but it more than met our needs. Two blocks from the Metro, three blocks from the Vatican, and the amazing Trionfale Market with its amazing array of fresh foods, the apartment was perfect for our family. Michela, the owner, met us right on time, and gave us great suggestions for navigating Rome. There is a wash and fold laundry service nearby, as well as several fine restaurants, banks, markets, and gelato shops. We also have a gluten allergy in our family, and the Trionfale Market had a stall with all gluten free foods, which was hugely helpful. Thanks again, Michela!
We stayed for two weeks in October 2013 and found the apartment as advertised. Everything was in working order and Michela gave us a thorough orientation to the apartment and the neighbourhood.
The place is well located, mid-point between two great gelati stands: Old Bridge and Millenium (what, really, is more important?). The apartment is easy to find from the "Cipro" Metro station (about 150m away) which takes you everywhere and conveniently located near grocery stores and the wonderful Trionfale market. All in all, it was excellent value for money.
One thing, though. Rome is a noisy place and even though this apartment is in a relatively quiet neighbourhood (the Vatican is two streets away) on an elevated floor facing the courtyard (not the street), it does taking some getting used to. Otherwise, highly recommended.
My daughter and I stayed in this lovely apartment for 10 days while in Rome celebrating her college graduation. It was perfect! Very close to the Cipro Metro station ( 2 minutes) for "old Rome" sights and walking distance to all things Vatican....St. Peters, Vatican Museum, etc. The restaurants nearby were great and the gelato on the corner was excellent. The closest public ATM ( Bancomat) was down near the Ottaviano Metro station, an easy walk. It was quiet which was welcome after a busy day sightseeing. We were up one flight of stairs, but the lift was available for baggage if you needed it. Michela had some travel guides which came in handy as we headed to Florence for a day. She was a perfect host meeting us on time when we arrived and assisting with our taxi arrangements for departure. I highly recommend this clean, tidy, comfortable apartment which was exactly as described.
Apartment was very disappointing.
Upon arrival there was no toilet paper in the house, no soap to clean up.
The microwave oven did not work and was smoking. The electric tea kettle was defective and could not make a cup of tea.
WIFI did not work
Dishes and silverware were an accumulation of flea market items. The entire apartment needs a good updating. Cabinets were poor and bathroom too small. Owners need to spend a few euros on improvements
Good points: good bed and good location
My friend and I rented this apartment for eight days in May, 2013. Michela was very nice. She met us at the arranged time, checked us in, and gave us a thorough tour of the apartment along with information about the neighborhood. We loved being within close walking distance to the Vatican, the Cipro Metro terminal, restaurants, markets, etc. The neighborhood was safe. The courtyard was secure and very nice with its flowers and fruit trees. The apartment was clean and very comfortable for the two of us. We had no trouble with the wi-fi and there was a basket of us/euro power converters for us to use. The kitchen was small, but adequately stocked with dishes, etc. The bathroom was nice. The shower stall was small and we had to space the showers apart so that we both would have hot water, but it wasn't a problem for us. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of pillows and blankets. We were fortunate to have cooler weather, so we had the windows open most of the time and never used the AC. We loved our stay at this apartment and would recommend it to anyone.
