Living room has a cozy wood fireplace, great surround sound TV/stereo system. Den/Office room offers wifi and you can convert it into a 4th bedroom. Newly renovated family room in basement is the perfect getaway for adults and children alike. With beautiful wood and bead board enhancements, this 600 sq. foot family room has an authentic pool table, big screen TV and comfortable lounging area and futon for extra sleeping. Half bath just off of family room. Pets & kids welcome and there is ample space for dogs to run with great walking trails nearby. Notes: This is a great place for kids of all ages. As this house is on 2+ acres of land with surrounding woods, you are really away from it all but only a 5 minute drive to Stowe village. Pets are most welcome (it's paradise for dogs!). Smokers allowed but are asked to smoke outside only.

Great place for a family and pet!

The house was great for our family, including our dog. It seemed to have everything we would need for the week, even more blankets when the weather became cooler last week. There was plenty of room for all of us and then some. My 4 kids enjoyed the yard with the hill. They played outside almost every night. Stowe was beautiful and we will definately be back to visit. We really enjoyed the Stowe Recreation path, for biking, walking, jogging and swimming in the water holes.
The description of the house as advertised was accurate. There was more room than is described. The kitchen is stocked with almost everything you would need.There is a big kitchen with stools at a big island. There is a dining area and a great big deck outside. Big rooms with lots of space to put your belongings. Nice size closets, too.

Great Place!

Our party of 4 adults and 1 toddler stayed at this house in June 2009 for a week and found it to be a great place for a family gathering. The house is very clean, spacious and comfortable, with a nice kitchen and a sunny porch. The location is convenient to the village and supermarket (5 minute drive), and the road is private so there is hardly any traffic going through. There was even a big party across the road while we were there but we hardly heard a thing. The yard is very big, and our 18-mo son had a great time running up and down. It would be great for older kids, too. We appreciated the extras such as wifi access, lots of towels, and the pool table. The surroundings are great with beautiful trees all around, but quite a lot of sunlight as well, especially in the yard. The owner and property manager were also very friendly and a pleasure to work with. Very reasonably priced for the size, comfort, and location!

Great stay - plenty of room and good location

Our family of 8 (with family dog) stayed at this house during the week leading up to New Years 2009. The house had plenty of room including 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths (very important!), an office (which we used as a 4th bedroom), a finished basement, and a very open floor plan- the kitchen is open to the dining room/living room. Since eating out at restaurants gets expensive for such a big crowd, we cooked at home for most meals and it was really nice to be able to cook in the kitchen and still be part of the action. Our dog loved the yard which was nice and big for her to run around in. The house had everything we needed for the week- all the linens/towels provided, wi-fi access, washer/dryer, dishwasher, plenty of wood for the fireplace, very close to the supermarket, and the house is only a few minutes to Mountain Road. Diane (the owner) was also very nice - she called to see if we settled in ok, and wanted to ensure we had a great time during our stay. I would recommend this house and certainly would stay here again.
