Collect beautiful shells and sea glass as you stroll along the rocky and sandy shore or relax on the patio as you watch the world, and perhaps a few dolphins, go by.

Ideal for singles, couples or groups of friends, each suite has been tastefully decorated with a Mexican flair. Your Canadian hosts, Joyce and Bob (Isla residents for 19 years), have carefully equipped each suite with everything you need to make you feel at home.

Ocean front and ideally located at mid-island (see map) you have easy access to all island sites by walking or a quick, inexpensive taxi ride.

Casitas del Mar is an ocean-front property located mid-island in the suburb La Gloria. Wifi is provided but there are also 2 Internet Cafés 2 short blocks away. As well, there is a full-service grocery store, several convenience stores, laundry service, several neighborhood restaurants and take-out stands within a short walking distance. With only a 5 minute ($2 U.S.) taxi ride to Centro (downtown) and bus service (less than 50 cents U.S. per person) 2 short blocks away you will enjoy a truly local experience with easy access to the more “touristy” downtown.

With only a 5 minute taxi ride to Centro (downtown), you will have the best of both worlds. The bus line is 2 short blocks away. There are also 2 Internet Cafés, a well-stocked grocery store, several convenience stores, laundry service as well as several neighborhood restaurants and take-out stands within easy walking distance.

Cancun Airport to Isla Mujeres;: You can take a bus, van or taxi (prices vary) from the airport to Gran Puerto or Puerto Juarez.. The round-trip crossing takes 20 minutes each way and costs 140 pesos (approximately $12.00 U.S.). Once on Isla Mujeres take a taxi to Casitas del Mar. The cost is 40 pesos (less than $4 U.S.). Detailed information on how to get to Casitas del Mar from the airport will be sent with your confirmation.

Great place to stay! Spotless and well equipped, very nice beds and even a blender for DIY margaritas on the patio. Beautiful water views. The neighbourhood is fascinating and we always felt safe. Enjoyed our jaunts to the local bakery and fresh juice counter every day. Joyce will provide lots of info on how things work, like taxi and bus fares, also places to visit and dining options. One of our best holidays ever.
