Gorgeous view of this beautiful 413 acre lake from your water-front deck, living room & fully-equipped kitchen. The cottage is within 75 feet of the water, where you can fish or swim right off the dock & fishing raft. An aluminum row boat is included. Plus, a nice 22’ rental pontoon boat is available to fish, swim in style! Tell those fishing tales around your water front fire pit in the evening. Or relax with a good book, movie or music. A TV, stereo and VCR player are part of the furnishings, which even include a supply of books and movies. This property is clean and has everything you need to enjoy the “North Woods”. The modest prices will surprise & please you! People who like people will enjoy this property which is part of a 22-unit mobile home park with bar-restaurant. (The cottage is on the water; the mobile homes & bar are across the street.) Enjoy the interacting with friendly tenants that come down to use their private boats or fish off of the docks.

Shemack Chute Pond Cottage: Sherryberg@new.rr.com and Rickberg@new.rr.com are also contact points. Come enjoy beautiful Chute Pond. This 413 acre lake offers everything: great fishing, a beautiful sand bar and jumping rock where you can swim, or just relax in the sun. The lake is very uncrowded with much of the shoreline being Nicolet National Forest.

People & Food: People who like people will enjoy this property which is part of a 25 unit mobile home park with bar-restaurant. While quite during the week, the weekend bring vacationers to the docks so watch, interact and enjoy. We're Wisconsin friendly so leave your suit and tie at home but bring your positive attitude and jeans. Comparatively speaking, we are not a Yugo or a Cadillac, just a Chevy/Ford kind of place

More: Enjoy the interacting with friendly tenants (from 4 to 104 years young) that come down to use their private boats or fish off of the docks. Gorgeous view of the water and a small row fishing boat is included. Nearly new rental Pontoon boat also available to fish, swim or visit other Wisconsin style food and imbibing places. If your from a big city, the modest prices will shock you.

  • $700.00 week
  • Pontoon rental is discounted for guest $450.00 per week plus fuel and tax 5.5%. We block out dates when we receive security deposit of $350.00 ($250.00 if not renting the pontoon boat) We do take credit cards, however the rate is very expensive at 4%, therefore most guest prefer to send a check for security as well as rent. Rent is due in full 2 weeks prior to check in date.

We had a wonderful time. The cottage, though rustic, contained everything we needed to unwind. The yard, with the pictuesque views of the lake, was huge. The fire pit contained an overhanging grill that was perfect for grilling. (There was a separate barbecue grill as well).

The best part of our stay was cruising the lake in the pontoon boat. We had no problems with it, and everyone on the lake was friendly.

We thoroughly enjoyed Kitty's Bar & Grill, a stone's throw away. If you're there on a Friday, make sure you order the fish...unbelievable!

The only drawback, which the owner mentioned ahead of time, was that the nearest grocery store was 40 miles away. The gas station mini-mart was close, but on the expensive side.

We will definitely be back next year.

Every thing I hoped for

The cabin was very cozy. It had all the amenities we needed. We had a problem with the boat but Mike came out and dealt with it quickly. We were able to get on the lake the next day. i would recommend this place to anyone. i dont know if we will be doing that far north again, but if we do we will definitely go back!
