Lakes such as Lake Beauclaire, Lake Dora, Lake Eustis, Lake Griffin, Lake Harris and Lake Yale with their desirable natural resources provide tourists and the citizens of Florida with diverse recreational activities. The lakes lead to the Saint John's River, the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.

The popular and historic Mount Dora area is only fifteen minutes away. Mount Dora merchants invite you to shop their quaint downtown boutiques and antique shops. Bicycle, fish, or water ski on Lake Dora, golf, and dine in their fine restaurants. Not too far from all of the activities the beautiful state of Florida has to offer, yet comfortably away from the crowds. Centrally located, approximately one and a half hours to spend a day on the Ocean Beach or in the opposite direction, a day Gulf side. Tavares is often referred to as the 'hub' of Lake County in Central Florida. Not only in location but in business, government and culture as well. This small, charming town is surrounded by the gently rolling hills and numerous lakes of Lake County. Attractions abound in the area, along with country scenery and fresh air - making it a very enjoyable escape from city life.
