The small touches were what made the experience for me. the fresh smelling sheets and pillows to the fresh cut flowers which made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was perfection (even though we could barely get out of bed). We will be back and look forward to it! Eric and Stephanie, My 18 year old grand daughter and I spent our first trip together at the amazing Doublegate Inn. We were treated like royalty and fed like Queens. The Quiche is unforgettable. Let's see, take a really neat older home in a beautiful setting, fix it up, and manage it with two incredibly gracious, talented and fun people....recipe for success!! We enjoyed our 3 night stay more than we ever thought possible, and we be back when the trout are biting. Stephanie you thought of every detail! From the welcome sign, cookies, and befruited lemonade to the delicious breakfast, our stay was just perfect. We loved playing croquet in the front lawn, sinking into plush sofas to watch the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Olympics, and using the Doublegate as a base from which to explore Mt. Hood.
