Overview

Ennice Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + 1000s/f Bunk Room, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 11-13)

Rushing River 3 story Paradise on 20 acres -- Riverbend of Alleghany is an amazing place!

Riverbend is a custom-made, three-story, 2,800 square foot(approx), Log Cabin Home located on a secluded, privately owned, wooded 20 acres right on the Little River in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Our 1,000 square foot bunk room with built in Swiss bunks, game room and french doors out to the river is amazing!

Some properties have a great view and some properties have a great house but THIS PROPERTY has both. Don't settle for an average living space just to get the view or sacrifice the view to get a great living space. Get both! The house is gorgeous and the river and property are stunning. When you compare us to other rentals, ask them 'How much land do you have?' Most of the other rentals in the area have a thin strip of land. We own the 20 acres Riverbend sits on and the adjoining 10 acres with another house. We have hundreds and hundreds of feet on the water! When you compare us, ask the other property 'are you right on the river?' The river is our front yard! You'll just love Riverbend!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We are so excited to open our first guest book this first day of February 2006! And we are even more thrilled to announce great additions to Riverbend! Last summer and fall, we were booked almost every single day. This winter, we added a 1,000 square foot Bunk Room with hand made built in bunks, entertainment center, game room [with ping pong] and a separate laundry room. Riverbend went from a great rental [we have mostly repeat customers] to a superior rental. Please call me personally if you have ANY questions. We know you will love this place! Return to Riverbend

  • 5 of 5

I have just returned from another fabulous visit to Riverbend. If you like private vistas of clear river, pine trees with the sound of waters flowing. Or love having wood fires while relaxing on a deep leather couch. Or enjoy sitting around a dining table with room for 8. Or love cooking in a small yet so functional kitchen that can make amazing meals like Zuppa Toscana, chocolate chip pie, pulled pork, French toast casserole or maple syrup brown sugar bacon. Or showering in an amazing shower spa. Or bracing yourself in fresh air while rocking on the porch. Or comfy rooms and bunks....then this place is for you too to enjoy! It is consistently clean. Always welcoming. And I will be coming again! Thank you Riverbend for another wonderful stay. KAF

Winter Wonderland!!!

  • 5 of 5

Returning to Riverbend for our annual "Girl's Weekend" is one of the things I look forward to the most to start the new year. The Cabin surroundings are magical and I grip the railing at departure, because it is so hard to leave this beautiful place. The river views outside and the comfy insides are beyond perfect to truly relax and reflect. Over the years, the owners have continued to add to the decor and furnishings (as if anything could make it more wonderful than it already is) making every addition fun to discover. Riverbend is a special place to enjoy friends and nature like no other...I can't wait until next time...just wish it was not a whole year away!

A Place We Come Back To

  • 5 of 5

Staying at Riverbend has become an annual event for us. The cabin is open and spacious with a wonderful fireplace as the focus of everything. A well stocked kitchen with upgraded appliances makes cooking a pleasure. The beds are comfy and the cabin certainly has room for a crowd. I love that there is a great space downstairs for sleeping, playing ping pong or video games, making it the perfect space for teens who tend to outlast the adults in the group. The views from the wrap around deck are spectacular-wooded yet open to the New River. The owners have thought of everything. Hammocks and fire pit with ample seating are right by the water's edge making the outdoors even more enjoyable. We have stayed at Riverbend as family and even had a small retreat one year. I can't say enough about this rental. If you visit once, you will be hooked.

There's no place I'd rather be in the NC Mountains

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from my 7th trip to Riverbend! There's a reason we go back again and again. It's PERFECT! Every detail has been thought of and implemented. Fabulous kitchen with upgraded appliances, super comfy beds and furniture, VERY clean inside and out, fabulous décor, huge TV mounted over fireplace, WiFi, INCREDIBLE stone shower in the downstairs bathroom (we all look forward to that shower!), ample wood pile stacked on covered lower porch, fire pit, hammocks, and so much more. We always spend time at the shops in Sparta and enjoy the local people. You will NOT be disappointed if you make Riverbend your vacation destination!!!

2014 Christmas Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family of seven that included three teens and two pets stayed at the Cabin during Christmas of 2014. We had lots of room and the three-level floors allowed for that. The teens took over the first floor since it had all the game equipments/entertainment and a private full bathroom. The main level with the 2 separate bedrooms accommodated three adults, and the loft was very roomy for my husband and I. Great time was had by all!

The front porch was also enjoyable, as we can see the water flowing down and was so peaceful.

The first thing we wanted to do was to explore the riverfront. So, packed some food/snacks, and ample firewood, then enjoyed a nice campfire for an entire afternoon/evening.

During our stay, we visited Hawksnest for snow tubing, then Antiquing. We also, visited Sparta the small town near the Cabin for shopping.

A Time to Remember

  • 5 of 5

Our annual girl's weekend was once again "delightful, restful, and divine" at our beloved "Riverbend". Each visit has enabled us to draw closer to each other and to our Lord as we enjoy His beauty in this wonderful place. If the setting, surroundings and views were not enough... the owners continue to make improvements each time we come and it just gets better and better...My favorite things are the wood burning fireplace, gorgeous views of the river and woods, and the very comfy beds. Did I mention how very clean and well equipped it is too? Yes, I give it 5 stars!!! We have made many wonderful memories at Riverbend over the years. I highly recommend this charming and spacious cabin...it is a very special place that refreshes the soul and restores your peace. Experience it once and you will return. Until next time Riverbend....
