St Augustine Area Attractions:: St. Augustine, as the nation's oldest city, attracts thousands of tourists with its charm. Known as the 'Ancient City,' Saint Augustine presents magnificent landmarks, such as, Castillo de San Marcos, Fort Matanzas, Flagler College, Lightner Museum, and the Lighthouse. Alligator Farm is the biggest attraction for kids, young and old. At Marineland visitors can swim with dolphins. The area houses state parks, such as, Washington Oaks Gardens with native and exotic plant species, Anastasia with the Salt Run, Faver-Dykes, Fort Mose, Gamble Rogers Memorial, and Princess Place just to name a few. The beautiful historic district offers a variety of cafes, bars, restaurants, and unique shops. St. Augustine is conveniently located between Jacksonville and Daytona Beach.
The World Golf Hall of Fame: IMAX Theater displays custom documentaries on their 80-foot-wide by six-story-high screen. Visitors can admire local art, including music, paintings, and food at the Art Walk, which takes place every first Friday of the month.
