Great House for a Family in Madaket

We've been renting houses on Nantucket for a number of years and 'Found Treasure' was easily our favorite. The location is great, just about half a mile from Madaket Beach and right on the bike path, with a shuttle stop nearly at the door. The layout is ideal for a family and feels very spacious, with all the bedrooms downstairs, a large, bright and open second floor kitchen/living/dining area and large decks opening off the second floor areas. A separate loft with a big TV and ample seating provides much appreciated additional living space to allow the kids and adults to spread out when that's desirable. The decor is bright and beachy, as advertised, and the house is very comfortably furnished. The yard is large and both the yard and gardens are really nicely landscaped and maintained. The owners were friendly and responsive. All in all, an open-feeling house with a lot of light that is very well equipped and very well kept. Surprises are inevitable when renting a place where one hasn't stayed before; in this case, the surprises were all pleasant ones. We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks there, would rent the house again and would certainly recommend it to others.
