Our family truly enjoyed our time at this home. The house is on a private cove and has amazing views. The house is well equipped, we was ready to have a good time once we showed up. If you are looking for lake activities or just want to relax this house is it. Easy drive for us to spend a day at Dollywood, Dolly Splash Country and Gatlinburg. The dock was perfect for us to bring our jet skies and for fishing. The 9 days flew by because we enjoyed ourselves so much.
Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Beautiful house and location. Loved the dock for boating, kayaking, swimming. Inside the house is nice. Great enclosed porch for grilling and chilling... don't stop reading though!!!! The water was unfit for bathing, showering, drinking and to run it for dishes made the whole house smell like sewage or rotten eggs. The smell pools and lingers in the basement area. The A/C filters were filthy and completely clogged. To get air flow we removed them. The dishwasher was partially disassembled and the bottom spay carousel was burned through where it had laid on the heating element. The owner and caretaker both told us it was fine and to run it!!! Parts were on order our entire visit. The plates were too large to allow the top carousel to spin. The folks have beautiful place but they don't care enough to fix the water with a treatment system or to make repairs. If you open the tank on a toilet, its walls are covered with thick black slime. A plumber supposedly came while we were out. After that there was no hot water for the remaining 4 days. We had to heat water on the stove to do the dishes by hand... which we did the entire week we were there. I was the family member who chose the house. WOW!!! I will never ignore comments about water quality again. We brought plenty to drink, but we couldn't bath. I managed 2 showers in a week. We found with the great weather that bathing/washing hair in the lake was the only way to go. You just can't get the smell of the water off your skin or out of sinuses. It was so good to be back home after this vacation! The owner actually made the claim he didn't even notice the water smell anymore! LOL!!! Well I guess if you own this beauty, you have to tell yourself something if you can't shell out the dough to fix things. I waited for over 2 months to write this review so I would describe things in a kinder way. I gave it my best shot. Please find another house to rent. What a waste to have this gorgeous house and location with such terrible issues. BTW, its for sale. Hopefully a new owner can drill a new well and install new plumbing... can you imagine the black slime coating all those pipes?!? Yikes!!! The beautiful weather and area kept us
satisfied... plus being with those we love.
Place was great except the drinking water was not drinkable and made the house smell like eggs.
Great cabin with everything we needed
We loved our stay!!! The tv upstairs did not work and the water was really smelly at first but a repairman came over and resolved the situation on day two. But we loved everything about this property!
Description was very accurate. Property shows even better than pictures. It was very clean and well maintained. I would recommend this property. Most popular attractions and other needs are located within 20-50 mins. drive of the property. We enjoyed the hot tub and the boat dock is very nice. Two things that may concerning to visitors: 1) the road down to the dock is an easy walk but driving down may be a problem for a car, I needed four wheel drive on my truck to get up the last few feet of the road. 2) the well water has a very strong sulfur smell which does get better the more its used but you will not want to cook with or wash clothes. Over all a great place to stay and a beautiful lake setting.
