The Perfect Setting for Your Big Island Get Away

This holiday season we decided to leave the stress at home and retreat to Hawaii for sixteen days of R&R. We stayed in this spectacular three bedroom property in the Puna District of the Big Island for 10 days and it was certainly the highlight of our trip.
The property itself is meticulously maintained and very clean and well appointed. Judy and Jeff have anticipated any need a pilgrim might have and provide snorkel gear, charcoal for the grill, binoculars, beach towels, sunscreen...you name it! The kitchen is also well stocked with anything you might need to take advantage of the wonderful local fish and produce available.
The house itself is nothing short of fabulous. It's three story with a sun deck on the roof. Every floor has a lanai that towers above the rock cliffs to optimize the wonderful view of the ocean. The surf was very high while we were there and we were transfixed by the waves crashing up on the volcanic rock. The furnishings are nice and comfortable, and in the unlikely event you want to stay in and watch TV or a movie, there are numerous TV setups throughout the house. All this and there is even an elevator!
The home is located close to the town of Pahoa. Pahoa is an eclectic community with several good restaurants. Hilo, HI is about 30 minutes north of Pahoa and beyond that is the wonderful Hamakua Coast. Volcano park is about 40 minutes away where one can see active lava flow. There are many gorgeous waterfalls and beaches that are a short drive away.
If you want to have a worry free, beautiful setting from which to explore the Big Island (In my opinion, the most interesting and diverse of the Hawaiian Islands), THIS is the place for your Big Island home.
I would go back tomorrow in a heartbeat!
