Welcome to our Penthouse suite without Penthouse prices..located in Historic Faubourg Marigny, a lovely area 10 blks to the French Quarter. This 1830's creole corner building with private wrap-around balcony is divine. It's the entire 2nd floor 1300 sq ft unit with a view of 3 old church steeples from every corner. Everything you need is here--24 hr open grocery, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, yoga-- people walk & ride bikes all over this area. This brick building has 14' ceilings, wood floors, full kitchen, 3 beds +sleeper sofa (4 beds total, 2 private bedrms), 2 baths, Washer/Dryer, TV/DVD/stereo with IPOD & CD player, WIFI. Never had flooding here-this is higher ground. Treat yourself! We also have a fabulous large Unit downstairs; has a courtyard & grill- if you have a large group, rent both! Each unit sleeps max 6 people. Lower unit is 1600 sf, 2 bedrms, 1 bath. Price goes down if you stay 3+ nights. This is a residential area: Sorry no parties, or batchelor parties. Everyone must be over 25 yrs of age to rent here unless a parent is present.

Yoga studio is 2 blks away, fun vintage shops a few blks away......Frenchman St. is my favorite area to listen to live music- 8 blks away.

Fantastic rental

Just got back to Seattle after staying in the upper unit of this property over the weekend with a group of friends. Everyone commented that they couldn't have been happier with the rental. Great house in a really interesting part of the city. Walking through the Marginy gives you the quintessential feel of New Orleans. Additionally, we were able to walk easily to the French Quarter. This is my second stay at this property; both times I felt 100% at home! I visit the city every 2-3 months--usually on a solo or +1 status. However, each time we have stayed in this house it has comfortably slept 3 couples. The property is clean, the neighborhood is lovely, and working with Carrie is as easy as pie! Yes, you need to drive to the quarter and surrounding attractions, but it's well worth it! Believe me, you wont regret booking this house!

Awesome Place to Stay!

I stayed here with seven total people, and we had plenty of room. There's a small grocery store two blocks away, and the walk to the French Quarter and Bourbon Street was very doable. The living area is very comfortable - I even had some friends who live in New Orleans say this would be a cool place to live!

I rented this house for my family of five. Everyone loved the house atmosphere, and all was as described. The house was a great place to hang out, and I wish we had more time to spend there, but we were in town for the music. The neighborhood includes a great breakfast/coffee shop, groceries and supplies. Although the house is outside the edge of what you would call the tourist area, the walk (or drive) to the french quarter is picturesque. We had a car,but next time I would plan to rent bikes to get around and see more of the city. I would definitely stay here again.
