Overview

Pinetop Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8-9)

Great location in the heart of Pinetop! Cabin is nestled in a quiet wooded area with big ponderosa pine trees. The property is now completely fenced in so bring your four-legged friends! Less than a mile to local favorites, Brickmans (casual and fine dining), Munich House Restaurant (dining on the water), Charlie Clark's Restaurant and outside Barn Bar (with firepits and live music ), Eddie's Country Store (great smoked meats and novelty jams and sauces), and the famous Red Devil Pizza Place. Cabin is less than 3 miles to the famous Hon-Dah Casino, endless antique shopping and 30 minutes to Sunrise Ski Resort.

Come rejuvenate and relax in the best kept secret in Arizona... the majestic 'White Mountains.' Just 168 miles from the valley and you are surrounded by the largest stand of Ponderosa Pines in the world!

This cozy 'lodge-style,' knotty pine cabin is tucked away in the beautiful Ponderosa Pines on a large wooded private lot with a spacious wrap around deck on 3 sides of the cabin and enclosed front porch.

Cabin features all brand new furnishings and amenities, 2 wood burning stoves for that winter ambiance, 1 gas stove and base heat. Cabin has HUGE master bedroom with master bath and its own wood burning stove. There are two additional bedrooms upstairs with a queen bed in one room and two single beds in the other. Full kitchen complete with microwave, coffee pot, pans, serving dishes, and utensils. Two baths with separate dressing area inclusive of a full-size washer and dryer. The rustic lodgepole furnishings throughout and charming decor is sure to enhance your mountain get-away.

Come escape from the hectic city/work life... slow down and enjoy the clean mountain air and friendly small town atmosphere. Outdoor enthusiasts will be amazed with the over 40 lakes and streams that offer up abundant fishing including bass, trout, pike, walleye, catfish, and crappie. The White Mountains offer four distinct seasons with 70-degree summers, a winter wonderland, and 180 miles of developed hiking trails, remote camping and wildlife, downhill and cross country skiing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, horseback riding, nine golf courses, year round festivals, casino gambling, unique shops, and many restaurants and bars... with 'true mountain' charm and character.

Very nice cabin and nice location

  • 5 of 5

My daughter loved the location and the spacious cabin. The cabin was bigger than expected and enjoyed the gas fireplace and the wood fireplace in the master bedroom. We gathered in the living room at night and kicked back on the couch (which reclined on both ends with footrests- fun) Great stay and would return again.

Good Place But in Need of TLC

  • 3 of 5

This place worked well for our stay with 6 people but I would not recommend nine as stated in the brochure. The place is in need of some TLC (handles missing/falling off). Nothing that a handy man could not handle with 2-3 days of work. A little better instructions on getting heat would be appreciated. We struggled at first trying to figure out all the heating methods (wood stove, baseboard heating, etc). The front porch worked great for all the ski gear. But last of all the price was very reasonable compared to other options.

Incredible Pinetop-Lakeside Weekend Retreat

  • 3 of 5

The cabin was everything I wanted for a fun weekend with my dogs. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the cabin, it is exactly as advertised. The reason for the three star rating is due to the interaction with the landlord and failure to be informed the the cabin is listed FOR SALE and currently being shown. Other than the initial email to book the cabin I had no contact with her whatsoever despite having called her cell phone and emailing her countless times to ask questions before my arrival. She also failed to inform me that the cabin is FOR SALE and the Realtor had planned on showing the cabin the entire weekend I was there. I was woken up the first morning by the Realtor entering the cabin to show it to a family. This was a huge invasion of my privacy, and embarrassing for the Realtor having to show a cabin full of my mountain biking gear, belongings, and me in my pajamas. She was apologetic of course, but angry when I requested that the cabin not be shown while I was there enjoying my vacation. The Realtor made it very clear how my staying there had inconvenienced her work for the weekend.

I would absolutely stay here again, the cabin fits my needs perfectly for a peaceful quiet retreat, my only recommendation is that you inform the landlord specifically that you don't want the property shown while you and your belongings are in the cabin, and call the Realtor on the sign in front of the house upon arrival and make sure they know as well.

Owner's Response: I am known for quick response as you can see from my other reviews. I was on a cruise in Mexico and I still contacted you. Thank you for the incorrect review.

Not as expected/advertized

  • 2 of 5

Hate to write a poor review, but did not meet our vacation rental needs in several ways. Property has numerous safety concerns and in need of serious repairs. Exposed wiring in one upstairs bedroom (both baths are downstairs), stove hood protrudes into kitchen for taller people, water heater runs out of hot water quickly, master bedroom is freezing cold due to air leaks, even with the supplied wood stove and space heater. Several other reviewers have mirrored a few of these items. On the good side, the property was safe, secure, conveniently located, and was completely fenced for pets. Be sure to clarify exactly what the fees are, as that was another issue when closing out the visit - rental fee, cleaning fee, security deposit. Unforunately I can't recommend staying here given the other options in the Pinetop area. Property does not work well with young kids. We went with friends who stayed at another location in Pinetop which was slightly more expensive but was more in line of what a cabin/vacation rental should be.

VRBO PROPERTY 208069 REVIEW

  • 2 of 5

PROPRETY HAS ELECTRICAL ISSUES, AND HOUSEKEEPING PROBLEMS. TOWELS WERE NEATLY FOLDED & PLACED IN VANITY IN MASTER BEDROOM WET AND WHEN WE FOUND THEM THEY HAD MILDEW.THERE WERE 11 SHEETS IN THE DRYER IN A TANGLED MESS AND SOME WERE NOT DRY. THE PROPERTY IS IN A NICE LOCATION, BUT IN NEED OF A GREAT DEAL OF WORK TO MAKE IT SAFE AND COMFORTABLE. THE DECK IS ENJOYABLE BUT IN NEED OF A GREAT DEAL OF REPAIR TO MAKE IT SAFE. WE HAD PLUMBING ISSUES IN THE MASTER BATH WHICH NEED TO BE ADDRESSED. THIS COULD BE A NICE VACATION PROPERTY IF IT WAS CLEANED UP AND UNUSABLE

CHAIRS, BARBAQUE, AND KITCHEN POTS AND PANS WERE REMOVED .

THERE WAS SOILED SHEETS AND TOWELS THROWN IN THE CLOSET OFF OF LIVING ROOM.

Perfect for relaxing

Very nice and clean place in the cool Arizona. The porch was wonderful for reading a book and just sitting in the quiet. The inside was clean and well maintained. Close to shopping, horseback riding and hiking. we would go again in a heartbeat.
