Mariposa Vacation Rental house

We stayed at Stonehaven for 7 nights in August after 3 weeks visiting the cities of California. It was exactly as advertised and much more. We arrived to a clean, quiet, beautifully laid out home with gardens and abundant wildlife. On arrival we were greeted by a mule deer and green frogs. The house was stocked with kitchen ware and bathroom supplies and towels for everyone.
The local town has a well stocked supermarket which we used for virtually all our supplies. We enjoyed barbequing or cooking in the excellent indoor kitchen and eating our meals on the decking. We have two teenage children who enjoyed the hot tub, wi -fi which was excellent and all the wildlife squirrells,bats, deer,hawks, frogs and especially the humming birds.
We travelled from Ireland and this is the perfect mix with a visit to any of Califonias cities. Finally our booking was very easy and handled by Paul with plenty of ideas if we asked.
The drive to Yosemite is about an hour more than we expected but perfectly situated as we were only 7 miles from the supermarket.
I will be recommending this as part of a perfect location to other Irish travellers heading to the west coast.

Our one week stay at Stonehaven was unequivocally one of the best experiences we have had at a rented guesthouse. And without hesitation, we would recommend it to anybody seeking private lodging in the Yosemite area.

Both inside and out, we found this property exceptionally maintained, spotlessly clean, very private, and well-designed for its Sierra surroundings. After a day of hiking and exploring Yosemite and surrounding areas, we couldn't wait to get back to Stonehaven to either relax outdoors among the numerous available decks and terraces with ample views of nature (jack rabbits, deer, wild turkeys, ect) or lounge indoors within its sumptuous open space living room-dining area. Even the kitchen seemed luxurious. Meanwhile, the two first-floor bedrooms (both of which have attached baths and sliders to outside decks) were sunny, clean and very comfortable and the upstairs loft was particularly treasured as private space by my daughter.

Location-wise we were extremely happy with Stonehaven - offering both proximity to Mariposa where we could stock up or eat out and easy access to Rt 140 and nearby Yosemite area.

And tor those who appreciate gardens- this is definitely the place to be - Despite the obvious existing arid conditions, the garden areas at Stonehaven were very impressive, well-maintained and provided the added benefit of attracting numerous hummingbirds and butterflies while we were there.

And Finally - we found the owner to be very accessible, friendly and very helpful on information on the area. We also appreciated his helpful labeling and instructions inside the house .

In short, if we could have packed up this house and surroundings and brought it home with us, we would have. It was that good of an experience.

We were extremely impressed with StoneHaven during a recent visit to Yosemite. The house is beautiful, quiet and private and it felt like home from the moment we walked in. Everything we needed was made available to us, just add people! The hot tub was a really nice touch after a long day of hiking, and the location struck a perfect balance between the stores and restaurants of Mariposa and the natural beauty of Yosemite. This place is highly recommended!!
