Cruz Bay House Rental Photos and Description
1-3 bedrooms 1-3 bathrooms
Far Horizons Ocean View is a 2 story house that can be rented as a 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom or the whole house as a 3 bedroom. It is the perfect spot for a couple on their honeymoon or a family who needs a little more space. The downstairs has 1 bedroom, one bathroom and a personal splash pool with a large sitting area. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, however one of the bedrooms can be locked off if it's not needed. It has a large covered porch as well as a large patio area with a small pool.
It is a gated, fenced in property which overlooks Frank Bay, Turner Bay and a bird sanctuary. Frank Bay offers the closest snorkeling as well as a quiet spot to sit and watch the sunset. Just out the gate and around the corner is Gallows Point which not only has a wonderful restaurant but also a small convenience market for all of your basic necessities. Continue walking for about 4 minutes and you are in the heart of Cruz Bay where you can satisfy all of your shopping, dining and nightlife needs. From Cruz Bay you are just a short drive or taxi ride to the larger grocery stores, the National Park which makes up 2/3rds of our little island and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Although a rental car is not a necessity we certainly recommend it for at least a portion of your stay, especially if this is your first visit to St. John. It is worth exploring on your own pace and stopping along the way to take in the breathtaking views along the way.

I moved to St. John in 1991after graduating from Rhode Island School of Design. I was lucky enough to find this house in 1994 when I was looking for a new place to rent and immediately fell in love with it. It was one of the few places I had seen with an actual yard and a view, all I saw was potential. In 2012 my daughter and I moved up to the states, however we hold on tightly to our strong bonds to St. John, our friends and our home.
Far Horizons was my home and sanctuary for almost 20 years and so far everyone who has stayed there has felt the same peace and comfort as I have.
St. John encompasses not only my love of the islands, the water and the landscape but also some of the best people I could ever have the honor of calling my friends.
