You want luxury...You've Got It! The most fantastic home in Hilo, right on a pristine stream with huge spring-fed safe to swim in ponds. You can swim up to and under 2 waterfalls. A truly inspired interior, Mika Taki contains the ultimate in amenities, antiques galore, Japanese motif, views, spacious. In Hilo, yet fully surrounded by nature and beautiful grounds, over one acre of tropical splendor. As Mika Taki is furnished with Japanese antiques and lots of glass, it is not appropriate for children younger than 8 or if there are more than 2 children in your group. We suggest you look at our other houses which are more casual and fun for the young ones. (Mika Kai - HomeAway listing #207930 or Mika 'Alua - #176749). Note: Mika Taki is in a residential neighborhood and to be good neighbors we do not rent the house for large parties. We do not allow more than a total of 12 people on the property at any one time - subject to loss of deposit.

I just finished my stay and wish I didn't have to leave. I dealt with Terry who was very nice and helpful. The house was beautiful, the views were amazing and so was the property. The pictures on the site really don't do it justice. I can't wait to plan my next trip and hope that the Mika Taki will be available. Mahalo for opening your home to me for my stay in Hilo. I look forward to staying at this or any of your other properties in the future.

When I was first browsing through different homes
for rent by owner, I initially missed this listing.
Going back and reviewing, I found it and thought
"This sounds too good to be true." After spending
a measley 3 nights there (I wish we had spent much
longer), I learned one thing. Wishes really do come
true. Jamie was great to work with and her house is
truely a gem. The pictures on their web site
actually didn't do it justice. We loved it so much,
we could barely force ourselves to leave it to go on
discoverly trips because just staying in the house
we were constantly descovering beautiful new
things. The waterfall takes some work to get to,
but it is beautiful. If you can't take the strenuous
walk down, that's okay because you can hear it's
quiet roar throuhout most of the house. Staying
here was definately the highlight of our trip.
Thanks so much. As our governor "Arnold" would
say, "I'll be back". Thanks for the peace of life you
shared with us. Truely did an awesome job
decorating your place. The Ryan Family
