Clean but noisy

This house was very clean and cute. We had some issues like the air conditioner didnt work, or the oven but they were fixed relatively quickly. The problem we had was the noise of the road in front of the house. It is a side road but it has alot of traffic with booming stereos all day and all night. The other noise factors were the roosters in the nieghborhood. Because the air conditioning wasn't working we had to sleep with the windows open and those roosters crowed all night long. Then the parking lot across the street is apparently a hangout spot and they partied over there till the wee hours of the morning many nights. Other than those issues, the location is great, the town of Haleiwa is super cute. The deck was nice, with plenty of seating, and Wendy the contact person was super good about addressing the issues that she could take care of in a timely manner. Thanks so much.
Owner's Response: We pride ourselves in making sure that all our guests have a wonderful vacation and leave Hawaii with treasured memories. However, sometimes things do happen!! In this case, a power surge caused the oven and the living room air conditioner to short. Both appliances were back in working order within a day and a half.
Our house also has individual air conditioner units in both of the bedrooms. The bedrooms are located at the back of the house. The back area of the house is surrounded by trees. These windows can be closed making the rooms free of any external noise which may occur.
Haleiwa is a country town and sometimes there are things beyond our control. Yes, we do have roosters and even geckos!! Our greatest asset is that our visitors get to enjoy the country in an otherwise populated island!!
Across the street is a boat harbor with fishermen coming and going. This area is a residential area and our neighbors and community do not tolerate parties and loud noises continuing throughout the night.
Hawaii, especially the north shore, is a unique and beautiful place. Our hope is that our guests fall in love with the north shore as much as we have!
Aloha!
