Less than a five-minute stroll to the beach, you will have many options: long walks on miles of quiet beach, beachcombing, catching the waves for a refreshing swim, or, if you prefer a little more action, catching the surf-class waves! The rocky shelf at one end of the beach provides safe pools for children to play in at low tide.

Our 'rancho' provides additional outdoor living space where you can prepare your meals, dine al fresco, and relax in the hammock or just cool off in the adjoining shower. Not into cooking? On your way to the beach you will pass several local restaurants and the mini-mercado. 'Casados,' the local plate of the day, consisting of rice, beans, plantain, and your choice of meat or fish typically goes for less than $5 US.

Great place to stay to mingle with the locals

Lots of Costa Rican culture to enjoy while staying at this cute little casita. If you're a dog lover you'll enjoy meeting all the local dogs that like to wonder through the property.The roosters might wake you up if you're a light sleeper around 4am. The gorgeous beach is nearby and the local food is inexpensive and very tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

We absolutely loved it. We traveled the Central Pacific Coast and it was the best beach we saw in Costa Rica- walk miles in each direction. One morning we walked about 4 miles and saw 3 people!!! Short drive to Jaco and Manuel Antonio. Cute little town with bars, restaurants and store right there. Clean. Safe.
