This charming, 18th century, one-bedroom town home/maisonette is in historic St. George's Town, Bermuda. It is furnished to a high standard and is very generously equipped with central reverse cycle aiconditioning, cable TV, free wireless Internet, enclosed garden for sitting out.

The home is conveniently located within a few minutes' walk of shops, restaurants, boat tours, fishing, and a major bus and ferry route. Only a fifteen minute walk -- or three minutes by vehicle -- to lovely beaches, golfing, tennis, and water sports.

Picturesque St. George's has been designated a 'World Heritage Site' by the United Nations.

To secure a reservation, one third of the total cost is required as a deposit. This is not refundable under any circumstances if less than 1 month cancellation notice is given. If more than 1 month notice is given the deposit less $50 is refundable.
The balance is payable upon arrival in Bermuda.
Normal minimum stay is 5 nights. Shorter stays may be sometimes be available for last minute bookings (1 month or less ahead).

Historic immersion with comfort and ease

House can't be beat for comfort, atmosphere, and convenience. Mark, the landlord, was an ideal combination of availability and discretion. With a bus and ferry pass included in the rental, we were able to travel the entire island easily. We explored the railway trails by foot to enjoy the beauty of Bermuda - particularly the Ferry Point trail from St. George's. As expected, the weather was ideal for hiking, but not swimming. People were helpful and friendly. A good wifi connection kept us in touch with home. When we return to Bermuda, we hope we can stay in the Taylor House again.

Historic lodging at a UNESCO location

This lovely home was exactly as listed.It was well maintained and the owner has thought of everything a quest could require.The location is perfect for exploring the town and convenient to travel elsewhere in Bermuda.The inclusion of bus/ferry pass was a great bonus.The neighbors have two friendly cats,Dark and Stormy which welcomed us and visited everyday.If you leave the dutch doors hooked, they'll jump in and lounge around the house.Very well behaved-St George is such a beautiful town.The architecture is stunning.With three beaches nearby you can enjoy the coast.The grocery store is well stocked and there are dining and shopping options.We really like St George because unless cruise ship visitors arrive,it is a very quiet location.We plan to stay longer next year.If you like immersing yourself in a local community,you will like St George.Residents are very friendly and we felt entirely safe. Actually, we enjoy the location so much we still haven't explored all the other parishes.There are certainly many options if you like a more active vacation.To sum up our stay-lovely townhouse,friendly people,beautiful architecture,stunning scenery,wonderful dining experiences and overall fun,fun,fun!
Owner's Response: Many guests choose not to inter-act with the neighbours cats. They happen to be very friendly but they are well looked after and are not to be fed.

Just perfect !

My daughter and I have just returned from an eleven night stay at Taylor house. We loved every moment , from the comfortable , well equipped ,quirky house to the private garden with resident singing tree frogs and friendly lizard to the lovely flowers . St Georges is in the quieter part of Bermuda , but definitely our favourite , with stunning beaches within 15 minutes walk ,museums places of interest ,and little lanes with pretty coloured houses. There are a few shops and places to eat and supermarket ,enough for our stay .If you are looking for wild excitement this is not the place , but if its quiet comfort, friendliness, stunning scenery ,helpful but not intrusive owner and a feeling of "home from home" then this is it ! We hope to return one day.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway
