Beautiful, professionally decorated 2 bedroom Beachfront townhome with a private infinity splash pool in the desirable Punta Esmeralda development 20 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Perla 2 is a couples dream vacation home. Quiet, private, amazing ocean views, with an ambiance perfect for relaxation and reconnection.
Perla 2 is the closest unit to the water in Punta Esmeralda. Unobstructed full front view of Banderas Bay, with direct access to the mild ocean surf only yards away. Leave your Ambien at home. The sound of the ocean at night is truly the best sleep-aid we know of! This ground floor unit has one of the largest lanais and private splash pools in the well-managed complex.
Because of its unique ground floor position, on the water and near the south end of the complex, Perla 2 is very quiet with limited foot traffic or distractions. The common area pools and other public ammenities are close by, but no distracting noise or activities are heard. It's like being in your own private villa!
Warm, inviting, full of original local artwork and color.
We limit our rentals to only 12 weeks per year and cater primarily to couples. This greatly reduces wear-and tear, and keeps our home in excellent condition. There is a big difference in condition, decorating and ammenities on units that are used primarily for rental income, and private homes like ours that are well cared for and have limited rental use.
The Punta Esmeralda development is approximately 5 years old. It is an exceptionally well designed and secure property unlike anything on Banderas Bay. The complex has its own 24 hour security staff, gated entry, and closed-circuit security cameras throughout. Even at peak occupancy, Punta Esmeralda never feels crowded. The 228 unit complex is a combination of high rise condos with nice views that are up on the hills away from the beach, and private villas and townhomes directly on the beach. Perla 2 is one of a limited number of private beachfront townhomes that are available. Check the Punta Esmeralda location map at punta-esmeralda. com/townhouses_map.php for details.
Our bilingual (English/Spanish) local property manager can assist with any neccessary services you may require, including airport pick and return, local transportation, linen and maid service, activities, in-room spa and massage services, and any advance preparations. When you arrive, your Perla 2 vacation home will be open, clean and ready for your stay.
All basic supplies such as paper towels and paper products, cleaning/laundry, soaps and kitchen supplies are included. Bath and beach towels and all linens are freshly laundered before and after and ready for you. Stop at one of the close local markets like Walmart or Mega on your way to Perla 2 to stock up on your favorite vacation foods and beverages, and you are good to go!
NOTES: Please note that due to the large, non-gated, 3.5' deep ground level splash pool on the lanai, Perla 2 is not recommended for families with toddlers or small children. The quality art and furnishings make this unit most suitable for 2 to 4 adults looking for a relaxing, upscale get-away. Perla 2 is a 3 bedroom townhome, but is offered only as a 2 bedroom rental. The extra bedroom is on the opposite end of the living area, and does not affect the quality, usability or living flow of the unit in any way.

Hi! We're Pam and Kevin, owners of Perla 2 in Punta Esmeralda. We've been married for 30 years, and we work together as partners in our printing business in Los Angeles. Now that's togetherness!
We have owned vacation properties in California and Hawaii in the past, but Pam really loves the ocean and wanted to get closer to the water. It doesn't get any closer than this! Buying a place like this in southern California would easily cost over 3 million dollars to start, so that was obviously way, way out of our reach. Mexico still has some great values, but we were also looking for a more traditional Mexico. Not the high rises of Mazatlan and Cancun, or the plastic Americanized Cabo. Puerto Vallarta still feels like a Mexican fishing village, and the people are really friendly and nice. It is also one of the safest parts of Mexico, and we have never been concerned about security while in PV.
We choose this place as a haven from our busy LA lives. We mostly just sit and enjoy the view of the bay. But we love going into the local towns for dinner and there is great dining. If we feel really adventureous, then there are great day trips in the mountains to local villages and sights.
