Close to everything, yet tucked away in a private setting with views that will soothe your soul and quiet your mind. In Summertime, the area attractions will give you limitless day trips. In the fall, Autumn leaves create scenic drama with festivals closing the planting season. Enjoy cross country skiing and snowmobiling right outside your door, or hike and just enjoy the natural surroundings of this lovely New England property. This house is perfect for a family reunion during the holidays and the spring break ski seasons. There is a nice restaurant and a market that will fill most of your needs just a short walk or drive down the hill to Rt. 100. Perfect after a long day at the slopes!

There are many lakes in the Green Mountains and 'Fox Meadow' Farmhouse is a few minutes away. The world famous Marlborough Music Festival is within 20 miles and it is a lovely day's jaunt to enjoy Saratoga Springs in the racing season in August. Whatever the season there is something to do, coming home to this lovely serene setting amid the Green Mountains.

My family and I stayed in this home for the month of July, 2009. A gracious owner, plenty of space, lots of attractions and cool evenings made our stay a very memorable one. The home has many original details and parts of the home are about 200 years old, so it's very charming. The huge kitchen gave us plenty of space to cook and stay together during meal preparation. Kitchen was well stocked, but bring your own larger pot for big soup or pasta preparation. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for lots of people. Convenient laundry on main floor. Main level bedroom provides lots of privacy and quiet. Hundreds of acres to explore, access to VAST trails and even a nearby beaver pond complement the outdoor experience. Great views front from the stone patio. Owner even had a new barbecue grill delivered during our stay. House was very clean and all new mattresses and pillows made sleeping a pleasure (not to mention the cool Vermont nights, even in July). Close to many area attractions and to produce, market and antique shopping. Even our dog had a great time! Make sure to stop by the Cremee stand at the bottom of the hill for some of the best ice cream in the world!

My family is already asking when we can go back to Fox Meadow.
