This log home was designed and decorated to accentuate mountain living while offering all the conveniences of a modern lifestyle. A beautiful kitchen with granite counters, gas stove and stainless steel appliances is open to the dining and living rooms. This great room features soaring ceilings, a remote-controlled gas fireplace, a custom built entertainment center including TV, DVD and stereo with surround sound, as well as sliding glass doors to the spacious deck with spectacular mountain views.

Tahoe Donner is a year round activity resort. The amenities include private beach/boat launching facilities, pools, recreation center, tennis, horseback riding, golf, downhill skiing as well as cross country skiing. Truckee is a historical mining town-having a western feel but also has museums, theaters, fine dining plus 2 large supermarkets-all less than 3 miles from the house. Our home is also located within a 15 minute drive to 4 major ski resorts.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Check-in is 3:00 p.m. Check out is 11:00 a.m.
  • Mid-week rentals are available at a reduced fee: 150-250 per night depending on season.
    Ski Lease is also available from January 3, 2010 through April 30, 2010 @ $2500 per month. Cleaning every two weeks after usage, snow plow fee and utilities to be paid by occupants.
  • $500.00 security deposit is required with in 7 days of the reservation. Full payment plus the 10% Occupancy Tax must be received at least 45 days prior to the commencement of the rental date. Cancellation must be in writing. Full refund of deposit will be given if the cancellation is received at least 30 days prior to the rental date. No refund shall be given otherwise.

  • On the first level there is a grand master suite with a king size bed, a private TV and a beautifully adorned bathroom with jetted tub, stall shower and dual sinks all in state of the art finishes. Access to a private back deck is available from the master bedroom. Upstairs you'll find a loft open to the lower level, two bedrooms, a sleeping room and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The queen bedroom includes a walk-in closet and views of the beautifully wooded lot. The twin bedroom includes two twin beds and a generously sized closet. The sleeping room has a fold-out couch and is a great place to find some quiet time.

Lovely property

We stayed at this property over Thanksgiving weekend and loved it. There were 6 adults and 1 toddler in our party and there was ample room for everyone. It is clear that the owners took great care in designing and furnishing their vacation home. The home is lovely and well laid-out and the kitchen is perfect for cooking anything you can dream up. We prepared our Thanksgiving dinner at the property and did not lack any needed cookware/ serveware/ dishes... and there was ample space for multiple chefs. The Tahoe Donner location is very central -- an easy drive to downtown Truckee or Squaw Valley or Lake Donner. To top it all off, the owners are very gracious. We will definitely try to stay here again!

Late Summer Holiday -- Great Fun!

Two adults and two kids spread out in luxury in this huge and beautiful Tahoe house in late August. Large, upgraded, very tastefully decorated, modern kitchen and baths, cozy rooms and comfy beds made for a homey and relaxing week! Early morning coffee and early evening wine on the deck, wrapped in a warm flannel blanket, was a favorite activity. Tahoe Donner is a fabulous community, with a Rec. center, pools, workout facility, golf, driving range, tennis, all very close by. The house is towards the end of a cul-de-sac, and barely a minutes' walk to a quiet, flat, serene forest hiking trail. Swimming in Donner Lake (5 minutes away) and North Tahoe beach (25 minutes) was a treat. Winter skiing at Sugar Bowl is about 15 minutes away, but we're saving that for next time :).

The owners are wonderful. Very easy and pleasant to work with. We had a little problem with the wi-fi when we checked in, but they got the maintenance person on it right away, and the problem was solved.

We loved the little waterfall/pond on the side of the home -- listening to the running water was calming and serene.

We will definitely return!! This house can easily sleep 8-10, so we were spoiled with all the space for just 4 people. Highly recommended!!

Terrific home for our family vacation. Nice quiet location in Tahoe Donner. No train noise:). Spacious and comfortable. Good value. On site management was prompt and helpful with a minor problem that we encountered. We hope to stay again next summer!

What a wonderful house!....

This beautiful home in Truckee is in a very quiet and secluded area of town which made for a super relaxing vacation. When we first drove up, the tranquil waterfall with koi fish was a welcoming sight and the first of many thoughtful details that the owners have incorporated into their home. We enjoyed relaxing in the gourmet kitchen area and the variety of cooking supplies and equipment made it very easy for cooking an occasional meal. The loft with the game table was a special fun area for the children and they especially enjoyed choosing from the many board games in the closet.
We will definitely plan for another summer vacation here again and hope to spend a few days this winter too!

My husband and I have rented out this beautiful home as a winter vacation rental and have truly enjoyed ourselves! This cabin is ideal to rent for any time of the year! It comes with the most comfortable beds, fabulous kitchen for cooking, great entertainment system, speakers throughout the whole house + game table upstairs in the loft, spectacular views, stone fireplace, Wi-Fi and a 2 car garage, plus much more!

We highly recommend this cabin for anyones stay! We rented it for 4 months and have had the BEST time ever!!! Great location in Tahoe Donner, huge hot tub, pool and workout facility just a few minutes away. I cannot tell you how lucky we are to have rented this beautiful home - the owners are such great people!

Thank you again for allowing use to use your fabulous cabin!
