Wonderful place!

  • 5 of 5
We stayed for the weekend. You can park your car and walk to everything....Tryon Palace, Historic District, Waterfront, Pepsi shop, etc. The house was wonderful and we absolutely loved it. Upon leaving I asked my 2 children what was their favorite thing about New Bern (Keep in mind we did a ghost tour, ferry to Shackelford Island and saw dolphins on the ferry ride) and they said at the same time, "The house!" They loved the loft upstairs. The owners have thought of everything for anyone visiting their home. They even have a book with places to visit and restaurants they recommend, We can't wait to visit again!

Great Home!

  • 5 of 5
This house was just perfect for the getaway week-end we wanted. The location was outstanding for sightseeing, shopping, art galleries and dining. We were able to walk to everything.
The owners were so helpful and easy to work with. We were so fortunate to have 2 beautiful sunny warm days in historic Newbern. The screened in porch a plus with very comforatble furniture. All the furnishing in this home were very nice. The house was very roomy and we had everything we needed. We would rent this home again and hope to do so soon.

Great House in a great location. House was well equipped with all the amenities of home. Plenty of room, bigger than it looks in photos. Great new screened in porch not pictured. We choose New Bern because it was not to far from our son who is stationed Camp Lejeune, around 45 minutes away. Glenn and Cindy were great to communicate with , and very helpful. Highly recommend this rental !

Great home in New Bern!

  • 5 of 5
This is a fantastic rental! We spent a long weekend here and found it well taken care of and the owners were super to work with. Everything was very easy and it was so nice that things like cleaning and linens were covered in the rental rate. The location and charm of the home are tops!

It was very close and easy to walk to Tryon Palace and all of the downtown New Bern sites. We didn't mind the drive that we took to get to an air show at Cherry Point and we spent part of a day in Beaufort as well.

Everything about the home was great, and the owners showed exceptional hospitality and graciousness which we really appreciated.

A Great Time in New Bern!

  • 5 of 5
Our experience was great from start to end. The owner, Glenn, was very helpful in making our last minute arrangements to spend the weekend in New Bern at his house. At the last minute, we ended up leaving several hours early to get to New Bern and of course Glenn made sure that we would be able to get into the house and settled early. The house itself is a beautiful historic home a few blocks from all of the downtown New Bern action. Its very spacious and clean with a great front porch and back deck and yard. I was there with my parents, my brother and his wife and their three children. We felt right at home. The kids especially enjoyed walking to Tryon Palace and downtown for dinner and to see the bears all over town! We spent part of our Saturday going to see Cape Lookout and had a wonderful time. It was very nice to get "home" and unwind in New Bern. I would highly recommend this property. It helped make our mini-vacation perfect!

Great convenient location

  • 4 of 5
The location is great, near downtown within walking distance. The house is well equipped except for the 2nd bath on the 2nd floor, the shower is in an old clubfoot tub, we ended up not using it, opting to use the shower in the laundry on the first floor which was much better. It was a little inconvenient, but not a big problem. The space on the first floor is great with a large updated kitchen and an extra living area on the back. Having a secured wireless internet connection was a big plus. Everything was there as advertised. The owner mailed us the keys a few days ahead of the rental and we had to mail them back after returning home, this was a little inconvenient, but worked ok. The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The owner was great to deal with and very helpful. New Bern is a great place to visit, with lots of interesting historical stuff to see. Be sure to take the tour bus of the city, it was great. Also don't miss the tour of the Tryon Palace. Several of the restaurants in the downtown area are tourist traps with high prices and just ok food for the price.
