About Angelo Molinaro

My wife and I have a passion for older homes with lots of character and we enjoy decorating. We came into this business unintentionally by purchasing this home as a second home and realizing that it sat empty while we were working abroad. It gave us the idea to market it on the internet when we couldn't use it ourselves. It became so popular we found ourselves without a place to stay when we would return home. We purchased 3 more homes in old town, all with heated pools and now I run this business full time. It is a labour of love!

Angelo Molinaro purchased this house in 2000

Why Angelo Molinaro chose Niagara-on-the-Lake

We purchased this home when we were moving to Sweden in 2000 knowing we would return every summer and Christmas to visit family and that we would need our own place to stay. During the 5 years we lived abroad we would long to come home to return to Simcoe Pines. Nothing could beat that feeling! We had the pool built in 2003 so that our young daughter could swim when we were on summer vacation. We thought others may enjoy using the home when we weren't there which was most of the year. Eight years later we have many return guests from all over the world enjoying Simcoe Pines!

Now that we are back living in Canada we offer Simcoe Pines as a year round vacation retreat for others to enjoy and have since purchased 3 other homes in old town, also with heated swimming pools.

We try to get a chance to stay at Simcoe Pines at least a couple times a year, usually in the Winter. it is full of memories for us!

Guestbook comments from the manager

This was our third stay at Simcoe Pines and I have to say that every year gets better. This year the TV's were upgraded to LCD's with Blu Ray players, there is a new stove that is amazing and the powder room on the main floor was renovated into a full bathroom with shower. Great for my elderly Mother that has trouble with stairs.

After spending some of the days at the local wineries, it was great to come back to the house for a swim. It is a private oasis back there and the outdoor bar is a lot of fun.

Angelo, thanks again for a great stay at Simcoe Pines! See you next year!

Awesome place!

  • 5 of 5
I spent the weekend at Simcoe Pines with my sister and four cousins. It was perfect in every way. The place was very clean and well maintained and everything we needed was there. The owners are very courteous and answered email inquiries in a timely fashion. All of the bedrooms were lovely, the whole place was lovely, very nicely furnished. The pictures are very accurate. It was nice to be able to walk to the shops. We felt very comfortable staying here and I highly recommend Simcoe Pines. You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful stay and plenty of fun!

  • 5 of 5
There was a group of us girls who were celebrating the weekend together before my upcoming wedding. The house was absolutely beautiful and clean from top to bottom. This house fit everyone perfectly and there was enough space for all of us to sleep and all of us ladies to get ready! We had an amazing time and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. Angelo the owner was delightful to work with and responded quickly to any questions that I had. They had made it very easy for us to rent the place and everyone commented on how nice the house was. We actually would love to rent Simcoe Pines again during the summer so we can enjoy the lovely back yard with the pool and tiki bar! I would 100% recommend to stay here.

Peaceful Winter Escape

  • 5 of 5
My sister and I recently spent a week at Simcoe Pines. The house itself was warm and inviting. What I noticed immediately was how quiet a location it is!! We loved spending time together and with friends in the very comfortable surroundings. The house is located within walking distance from town and some very nice restaurants. Adults and children alike would love the activities offered in this charming town. After a day exploring Fort George, wine tasting and dining, Simcoe Pines was the perfect home to retreat to, to recharge and relax. I highly recommend it for people of any age. While spacious, the home felt very cozy.

A Great Change of Scenery

  • 5 of 5
Most of the reviews here cover the main attractions of Simcoe Pines with its spaciousness and ample comforts and amenities. The house is within easy walking distance of the town, the community centre, vineyards, shops. (we were without a car) For me and my sister it was chosen as a place to re-unite, for me to remember my Canadian roots and for her to get a much-needed change of scenery in what was a dire and prolonged winter.
It took only a couple of hours to get to know the town, the house, the charm of the region. We ate in and out and just settled into a nice rhythm that recharged and rejuvenated. Some friends we had not seen in ages visited and it seemed to give everyone the lift they needed. If you've had it with hotels and want more privacy than a B & B affords, this is a great choice. The owner is professional in every respect. The house works and is welcoming.

a cozy and comfortable home

  • 5 of 5
We just had another great weekend in Niagara on the Lake. 10 ladies from various parts of Ontario meet in Niagara on the Lake each year. This is the 3rd year we have rented Simcoe Pines and we are planning future return visits. The house is decorated nicely and is very clean. It is comfortable and feels like home. The pool is always kept heated and clean. It is walking distance to the Queen Street shopping and restaurants and close to bike trails. This year we had a caterer cook for us in the home. A chef and server from Niagara Gourmet treated us to a 3 course meal. I have recommended this home (and the others owned by the same owner) to many people. A++

Fantastic rental property!

  • 5 of 5
We have stayed at Simcoe Pines three times and can't wait to return again! It is a beautiful, comfortable, well-appointed home with a private yard and pool. The kitchen and main room is spacious and bright - a great gathering space for a large group. The bedrooms are nicely decorated, spacious and comfortable. The house is conviently located on a quiet street, walking distance to the main strip. The rental agent is friendly, helpful and responsive. You will not be disappointed with this property!
