About Angelo Molinaro

My wife and I have a passion for older homes with lots of character and we enjoy decorating. We came into this business unintentionally by purchasing this home as a second home and realizing that it sat empty while we were working abroad. It gave us the idea to market it on the internet when we couldn't use it ourselves. It became so popular we found ourselves without a place to stay when we would return home. We purchased 3 more homes in old town, all with heated pools and now I run this business full time. It is a labour of love!

Angelo Molinaro purchased this house in 2000
Why Angelo Molinaro chose Niagara-on-the-Lake

We purchased this home when we were moving to Sweden in 2000 knowing we would return every summer and Christmas to visit family and that we would need our own place to stay. During the 5 years we lived abroad we would long to come home to return to Simcoe Pines. Nothing could beat that feeling! We had the pool built in 2003 so that our young daughter could swim when we were on summer vacation. We thought others may enjoy using the home when we weren't there which was most of the year. Eight years later we have many return guests from all over the world enjoying Simcoe Pines!

Now that we are back living in Canada we offer Simcoe Pines as a year round vacation retreat for others to enjoy and have since purchased 3 other homes in old town, also with heated swimming pools.

We try to get a chance to stay at Simcoe Pines at least a couple times a year, usually in the Winter. it is full of memories for us!

a cozy and comfortable home

We just had another great weekend in Niagara on the Lake. 10 ladies from various parts of Ontario meet in Niagara on the Lake each year. This is the 3rd year we have rented Simcoe Pines and we are planning future return visits. The house is decorated nicely and is very clean. It is comfortable and feels like home. The pool is always kept heated and clean. It is walking distance to the Queen Street shopping and restaurants and close to bike trails. This year we had a caterer cook for us in the home. A chef and server from Niagara Gourmet treated us to a 3 course meal. I have recommended this home (and the others owned by the same owner) to many people. A++

We have stayed at Simcoe Pines three times and can't wait to return again! It is a beautiful, comfortable, well-appointed home with a private yard and pool. The kitchen and main room is spacious and bright - a great gathering space for a large group. The bedrooms are nicely decorated, spacious and comfortable. The house is conviently located on a quiet street, walking distance to the main strip. The rental agent is friendly, helpful and responsive. You will not be disappointed with this property!

Fabulous Character Home

Our annual girl's winter getaway was spent at Simcoe Pines. There were 7 of us and there were beds for 10. Plenty of room. The home is cozy and beautifully appointed. The house was immaculate when we checked in. The linens were lovely and the towels plentiful. Angelo( the owner) could not have been kinder or more accommodating. He sent his maintenance manager over to hook up the gas BBQ for us.

We would definitely recommend this home to anyone. Easy walking distance to the old town for shops and dining.

We were there in the winter. It must be fabulous in the summertime with the pool.

Simcoe Pines-Simply Magical

Wow! We rented Simcoe Pines for a weekend getaway with our 3 adult children (and their significant others) that live in NYC, Washington, DC and Buffalo. We will not all be together for Thanksgiving this year, so we met up in Niagara-on-the-Lake and chose this house. It was the best decision and the best weekend ever! Walking into the house was amazing--it is beautifully decorated and spotless! We enjoyed barbequed steaks on the grill, played games around the pine table, drank wine that we picked up at the many wine tours we went on, and made memories that will last forever. We HIGHLY recommend renting this house--it was like a dream...and Angelo was terrific! We can't wait to go back!

Simcoe Pines - Feels Like Home Away From Home!

  • 5 of 5
  • Submitted: Oct 20, 2012

Back for our third year at Simcoe Pines, as soon as we opened the door last weekend it felt like coming home! The only difference is that this is the post-Thanksgiving getaway of four couples who love to visit the wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake and prefer the atmosphere of this beautiful home to hotel rooms. The openness of the kitchen, dining room and living room makes socializing relaxed and easy. Arriving Friday afternoon, the men tee'd off at nearby Whirlpool while the ladies explored the shops of downtown. Returning "home", we each bring out the appetizers we've prepared for our Friday evening "reunion" and sit around that great country table to catch up. On Saturday morning, we enjoy a continental breakfast and head out to tour the wineries. After a full day of exploring, we do a little taste-testing of our purchases and then fire up the BBQ for a great evening meal. Although I'm sure there are plenty of fine restaurants nearby, this weekend at Simcoe Pines is about being together, in this wonderful house, not just eating, drinking and telling stories but preparing our food together and really enjoying the special aura this house creates.
What amazes me each year is the feel that the owners just went out the back door as we came in the front. Pictures on the wall, old 78's in the record player and cosy linens on the beds. It really has a feel unlike any place we've vacationed.
My husband and I so look forward to this annual excursion. Although we've talked about trying somewhere new, Simcoe Pines calls us back year after year and we've already reserved again for 2013. We would highly recommend this property to couples or families who are looking for the warm atmosphere that only your home, or Simcoe Pines, can give.
Thanks for another great weekend Angelo! Until next year, cheers!
