This lovely 1800s building has been completely renovated and converted to a professionally decorated three level vacation home with 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. On the main level, the welcoming entry leads to a large sophisticated living room/dining room. A very comfortable sleep-sofa faces a 47' wall-mounted TV screen. A red leather chair provides additional seating for viewing TV or enjoying the ambiance of the gas fireplace. The unique square table seats 8 on leather Parsons chairs. A fully equipped kitchen and a half bath are also on this level. The master bedroom is on the upper level, and has an upholstered king “Sleep Number” bed, and a great bathroom with a double Jacuzzi and separate shower. The second bedroom is on the lowest level. It holds 2 twin beds and a set of bunk beds. It has its own large bathroom with a tub/shower. Both bedrooms have large LCD TVs, telephones, i-Pod docks etc. Enjoy many gardens, a grille, picnic tables, chairs, beach equipment.

We are on Lanes Cove in Lanesville, Gloucester, which is on Cape Ann, part of the North Shore of Massachusetts. We're halfway between downtown Gloucester and downtown Rockport. Beautiful Halibut Point State Park and Plum Cove Beach are within walking distance. Lanes Cove, a favorite spot for kayaking and fishing, is right behind the house. Both Rockport and Gloucester hold many festivals such as excellent fine art, music, cycling, fishing tournaments, whale watching,etc. There are several beautiful wide beaches, lighthouses, art galleries, fabulous museums etc. Infamous Salem is a short drive away, and fabulous Boston is an hour away by car or commuter rail.

Three skylights and several windows illuminate this suite with lovely natural light. The second bedroom is on the lowest level and separated from the master bedroom suite by the living room level. It holds 2 twins and a set of bunk beds. This bedroom and bathroom are decorated in a fun '70s style, with lots of vivid colors and designs.

Wow, what a gem this vacation home is, my family of 4 loved it. Everything is exceptionally well kept and all essentials are there for your use. My 2 kids were thrilled with their room and became spoiled by the luxuries of it all. The pictures and descriptions are all accurate, but you certainly have to see it for yourself to appreciate how beautiful and comfortable the owner has made this former barn. I highly recommend it for couples and families with children.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
