Neighborhood description:
31st street is a neighborhood on the Isle of Palms. As we were renovating the house, all the neighbors came over to introduce themselves. It is a nice quiet place, a rental as part of a long term neighborhood. The ocean access is an easy 2 block walk. We love to ride bikes and go for runs around the island We take the dog for a walk everyday. The back deck is a wonderful place to relax. You can walk to the grocery store ( 15 minutes). In this small shopping center is a restaurant and across the street is a fresh seafood store. About 4 blocks from the grocery store is a lively beach area with a variety of bars and restaurants. 5 blocks to the north of the house is the marina, where you can go on boat and kayak tours. They often have music on Friday and Saturday nights at their restaurant.
Our beach cottage:
We just purchased this home last year and spent 6 months totally renovating the home. The kitchen is a very high quality white cottage feel with beautiful black granite tops. The sink is a soapstone farm sink. The floors have all been newly refinished and are beautiful. The bedrooms all have new sheets and window drapes. I love the side porch with 2 wicker chairs for relaxing.

Charleston offers experiences for every member of your family. There are beautiful historic places to visit. The city has wonderful shopping, King Street is full of typical and boutique stores. Just over the Island Connector is a very nice shopping mall. There are wonderful restaurants and great nature experiences.
