Photos and Description of the Grand Lake vacation house rental
4 Bedrooms - 3 Baths - (Sleeps 11)

We welcome you to our mountain house! Our extended family has had wonderful times here and we hope yours will, too. We are proud of the condition of our home and hope you will enjoy the moose theme. In fact we have seen real moose on more than half of our visits! It's the perfect place to enjoy nature without roughing it.

Moose Hus is fully furnished so you'll feel right at home. The large living room and dining area with cast-iron gas stove and cathedral ceiling is the place where everyone gathers for TV(HD), DVD, games, and conversation. The modern kitchen is conveniently nearby.

In winter, enjoy snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, skating, and sledding. In summer, participate in hiking, boating, fishing, horseback riding, golfing and picnicking. You might even find it interesting to walk through the historic Grand Lake cemetery.

Enjoy your stay!

Summer Vacation July 6-13, 2009

This house was just right for our family of 12 (9 adults, 3 children-12,9, and 3). Great living/dining space for everyone to relax and do their thing. The kids used the loft for reading and playing. The bedrooms are all good size. We never felt cramped. The kitchen is well equipped. The cabin is beautifully located in natural pine setting. Lots of great hiking trails. The unpaved streets in the Columbina Lake neighborhood are wonderful for early morning and late evening walks and jogs. The owners are very congenial and easy to work with.

We would highly recommend the Moose Hus. Not only was the location fabulous, but the home comes clean, comfortable and stocked with lots of kitchen items. We had many good times hiking nearby trails, taking in the beauty from the Moose Hus deck and just enjoying the overall experience.

This is by far one of the best home rentals we have experienced. Thanks so much to the owners!

I just wanted to let you know how much we really enjoyed our stay at your house. It was very comfortable and clean. More than once we looked out the window into the yard to see deer lounging right at the back stoop. We also saw a fox the first morning we were there in the adjacent lot and moose just a couple houses away. Great place to stay and will definitely stay again!

Wonderful Mountain Home

Just want to thank you for renting your great mountain home to us. It was perfect for the 3 couples and close to all the wedding venues. We saw a few moose, mule deer and fox close to the house so that was a real treat for us.

If in the future we would return to this area, for sure your home would be the rental unit we would choose.

Enjoy the upcoming fall, I am sure it is a beautiful time in Grand Lake.

Thanks again,
C,C and friends.

It doesn't get any better than this. This VRBO is everything it claims to be, and more. Everything you need is here and the cabin is super clean and well maintained. The owners are wonderful to work with. This was our second time staying here, we will be back.
