Mill House is a great vacation rental

The Mill House was the perfect home base for our vacation with four adults. It is located a short drive (30-40 min) from both Honolulu and the north shore, and the scenery is spectacular. The house is not a "luxury" rental, but provides all that is required for a laid-back beach vacation. There are other houses on either side, but the vegetation and fencing provides a great deal of privacy. The beach is just feet from the back porch, but this is not an ideal swimming location. The water is shallow, with lots for coral. It's great for snorkeling, floating, etc. You are, however, short drives away from some amazing "swimming" beaches. The property is enclosed in a locked fence, and the front of the house faces the busy "Kam" highway. Getting in and out can be a challenge, and it is easiest with a 2nd person handling locking the gate and watching for traffic. This posed only a minor inconvenience. Most of the time at the house was spent on the large, covered back porch right on the water and only a few hundred yards from "Chinaman's Hat." The Mill House is close to restaurants, grocery stores, post offices, etc. We enjoyed having a full kitchen and charcoal grill to prepare our meals and eat outdoors. Looking out the front, kitchen windows, you see Kualoa Ranch, and horses occasionally walking bye. Coffee and breakfast on the back porch, as the sun rises and the waves gently come ashore was very relaxing and beautiful. If you're looking for a peaceful, striking tropical location for a vacation, then the Mill House is a great choice. I would definitely stay at this property again and recommend it.
