Little Perch Review

Although the photo shows the place as isolated and quiet, it is not. The first few days I was there I heard constant buzz sawing going on down the road. I'm not sure how long this would have gone on since there was Hurricane Irene the second week I was there. The road up to the house does have many abanded cars and farm equipment on it.
And you can hear the highway traffic on a busy day. Also, down the road is a major electric grid station, so for those of you that are sleep sensitive you may feel the buzz.
The place itself is clean, has all you need, and has a good feel to it. It is not easy to take a walk there since everything is straight up hill. There are parks nearby, within driving distance, but I was not able to use them since they were closed due to the hurricane.
Be sure to shop in Kingston or elsewhere, the shopping is limited out there...especialy since the hurricane.
Lastly, it is hard to deal with the owner, I ran into problems when the power went out for days and the owner would not even consider a partial refund.
It is close to some beautiful areas, but make sure you have no need to deal with the owner other then straight contract, he will not budge or speak with you any other way.
I would go back to the area but I would not rent this property again.
