Situated just 3 miles off highway 1 from the center of Big Sur makes this location highly desirable. Hike, whale watch, condor watch, surf, explore the tide pools. Sit on our swing and daydream. Enjoy magnificent sunrises and sunsets. I have never experienced such a great sense of peace anywhere in the world until I found my Big Sur home. The night sky is like diamond studded velvet. Star gaze from the field, or from the comfort of your bed. If you enjoy walking you can access some of the trails without needing to drive. If . Other local attractions include Esalen Institute, restaurants, art galleries, state park, beaches, river and swimming holes, and the many music, cultural and artistic events put on in the area around the Big Sur Valley. Pfeiffer beach, below the barn is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Anyone who has seen guide books on Big Sur will have seen our famous natural bridges. Tide pooling is very exciting. The star fish are amazing. Whale and otter watching is great fun. Condors can be seen close by. They have landed in the trees in the garden, but most ofter you will be able to see them at specific points along the highway. Locally, visitors can explore Pfeiffer State Park, Andrew Molera State Park, and the many hiking trails and swimming holes.
